Laundry Blue: Tina Powder

A life hack video project for our Physics subject. It cover the materials used (tina powder, basin and white fabric/shirt), procedure and science behind laundry blue.
Tina powder is also known as Synthetic Ultramarine, an insoluble colorant used in bluing white fabrics to appear cleaner and whiter.

so it doesn't really whiten the fabric, it just creates the illusion of being white temporarily.

Plain fabric without any dyes actually look naturally yellowish. Bluing them neutralizes the yellow color

Kontian mo lang yung lagay hahaha. Pero maganda naman ang end product kapag sobrang blue. Di mo na need ulitin yung process everytime maglalaba ka since maraming stocked na small particle ng powder sa small spaces ng white fabric mo, kaya matagal mawawala ang pagka-blue at linis nito

I am actually from the Philippines. We are using the blue powder in separate with the detergent. It is usually the last process that we do for white laundries before drying using hanger and natural sun heat. This can be bought anywhere here on any market
