I'll say the Witcher 3, and the DLC, is awesome; One of the best games I've ever played. You don't need to have played W1 and W2 to get the story, they do a pretty good job of explaining the background and the gameplay is top-notch. Definitely worth the buy.

It's even worse. At a certain point in the books, Ciri gave up magic. I don't mean "stopped using it," I mean cast it away from her being and can _no longer_ use it; her Elder Blood being the exception. That's setting aside the mutations not working for women. I was absolutely looking forward to this game. Didn't mind them moving on to Ciri being the lead, as long as the tie in made for an amazing story. My only problem was with the trailer. They made Ciri's chin and lips ginormous. Of course now they are changing the angles of the pics being used, making her chin look more pointed an it looks much better but them lips are still way to plump. then again I understand that the models will more than likely change over time an this trailer was rushed because of a leak. That character being a female does not interfere with that (nor being a male). Not telling you that you must look at it the same way. Just showing you a different perspective.
It's not the biggest problem as plenty of games have proven gamers will be fine as long as the character is good. This game's problems seem to be a lack of respect and understanding for the franchise than the gender of the main character. After all, this isn't Ciri, this female Geralt.

It's never good when they control everything online, thats why so many on UA-cam or other platforms wont let them go paid bc they censor and throttle hard. And if they do see it, most of the time it gets removed. I save a lot of videos from the internet bc of the deleting and scrubbing done.

I was absolutely looking forward to this game. Didn't mind them moving on to Ciri being the lead, as long as the tie in made for an amazing story. My only problem was with the trailer. They made Ciri's chin and lips ginormous. Of course now they are changing the angles of the pics being used, making her chin look more pointed an it looks much better but them lips are still way to plump. then again I understand that the models will more than likely change over time an this trailer was rushed because of a leak. But now the banning of people talking about the game, it's just getting worse. why do these people not just make a game instead of spending all that time trying to block people from talking about it.. how many games need to fail before they get the hint that people are no longer pre ordering games based on news articles. We need to see everything an judge for ourselves. Dragon age hid everything and banned people and what was there 30 thousand returns an 100 thousand canceled pre orders. Probably late 2027 if funding stays the same from Netflix and sources too small to see who they are. Someone said Sony and Microsoft and Amazon are in the smaller partner funds. Yeah, I can see that, most of the game awards GotY's have been bought and paid for by publishers. Not once have they told us what or how they score them but copies sold cant be it, public opinion and that cant do it, its not looks, its not gameplay, who knows but they are usually decent games somehow. But if the buy the GotY it will be the one, I personally think its closed bids and the highest bid gets it.

Be honest: woke stuff aside, do you really prefer playing a female character in a ROLE PLAYING game? Being a man, are you going to role play as a woman? Playing as her, will you hook up with male characters, or will you cope by being lesbian? Or is it better for the game to not feature any romantic element whatsoever, so Ciri can die childless like Geralt?

If they are going to make stuff up in the lore, wouldn't it be better to have a new male protagonist, a disciple of Geralt maybe? Maybe someone to have Ciri as a romantic pair, I mean, a man and woman falling in love like God intended? Wouldn't that be a good wholesome story for a beloved character like Ciri?
I'm not against female protagonists, but we must acknowledge that there's a (good) reason as to why gamers in general prefer male protagonists.

Being honest. Never in any game, RPG or otherwise, I perceive the player character as a representation of myself. More than that. I DON'T WANT the PC to be a representation of myself. I am a boring person doing boring stuff. I rather follow adventures of someone else who is worth following. It is like watching a movie. That character being a female does not interfere with that (nor being a male). Not telling you that you must look at it the same way. Just showing you a different perspective.
It's not the biggest problem as plenty of games have proven gamers will be fine as long as the character is good. This game's problems seem to be a lack of respect and understanding for the franchise than the gender of the main character. After all, this isn't Ciri, this female Geralt.

The point of role playing is precisely playing as someone you are not, like an actor.
You don't play as if that character is you, it's the opposite. You play as if YOU are the character.
Seeing it that way, it's easy to understand why most gamers would rather role play as a male characters. Because they don't want to pretend to be a women.
I bet you too, even when you are playing as a female character you are not really role playing as her, because that would be pretty gay.
