  • Talala was not my intended town, as a matter of fact I had not heard anything about that town 9 hours prior to my arrival. I only stayed here for the night because Jambur did not have any kind of accommodation and that accidental decision turned out to be the best one.

Thank you for posting this. So many people are ignorant and don't even know that we exist. My father is sheedi/siddhi from Pakistan. My siblings, some cousins and I were all born and raised in America. Very proud to be an African descendant. Although I have never been to our homeland in India/Pakistan or to the land of our ancestors in East Africa (as I am told). I hold very high regard for our people. Africans of the diaspora must unite. One love to you my brother.

@Faiez Cader Not correct. Govt provides a lot of support to STs (Scheduled Tribes) under which they fall, including free public education, free residence and stipend up to 4 year degree. What Siddis are lamenting is that the rest of India does not know they exist outside of their nearest town….and the usual racial snickering, commenting Indians do all the time for all ethnicities.

There language ,gods ,dna etc all belongs to European culture and many ideas copied from buddhisam and Greek mythology.
Only 17% indian population have highest percentage of Aryans dna and that too only upper caste and it's not conincidence while all other Indians have tiny amount of r1a bcz of mixing of last 3500 years.
Indus valley which is just 4500 years older ,literaally don't have any traces of Vedic culture and their language and dna etc.
While other indians culture and dna is matched clearly with Indus valley civilization.
All Brahmanical reaserchers by heart know the fact but they can't accept bcz if they accept the truth ,they will going to face mass scale Revolution against them all over the india and will literally lost all top position which they occupied in govt.

Thanks for sharing. We have heard about Siddi communities in veracious parts of western India. some have made it big in Indian history. They are well known for their bravery and some even were rulers of their dominions. There's a fort where I come from, called Murud-Janjira. You should check it out and it's legacy.

I'm glad I subscribed to this site, it's very, very informative. I knew nothing of people of African descent not only living in India, but whoms presence go back centuries. Visualpoet keep the videos coming, I'm just now learning a lot about the African presence and contributions around the world, it's exciting to learn this. I also see that the USA(I'm African American) wasn't the only country to "hide" the achievements and contributions of people of African descent.

I saw some African ladies travelling in train from Rajkot to Junagarh Tlala like Indian style. I was road project and passed their village. There living style is just like Indian. Some people said they were came to India five hundred ago from South African countries.
