    He makes 6.06 look automatic while the others struggle with 5.85, that's true dominance.

    This vault alone would have tied him for second best performer ever outdoors with Sam Kendricks. Only Sergey Bubka went higher than 6.06 m outdoors, but of course Mondo has done 6.07 m, 6.10 m (twice), 6.15 m, 6.16 m and 6.21 m outdoors. The last three heights are the three highest vaults ever outdoors surpassing Bubka's previous outdoors all-time best of 6.14 m.

    It is embarassing how strong he is I mean compared with other athlets there are 2 leagues in beetwen, is like in Italy soccer SerieA compared to SerieC . And this could be an issue for motivation because he will not engaged by anyone

      @@kwakakak Because his father is Cajun-Creole (French-American) from Louisiana. His mother is Swedish, born and raised in Sweden (went to LSU on an athletic scholarship). Most countries allow people, especially those who live in the U.S., to compete for them if a parent or grandparent was born there. From a practicality (and money) standpoint, it is better for Mondo to compete for Sweden.

    • @Mrsuperdestroyer
      @Mrsuperdestroyer Рік тому

      @@wayneegli8379 The family seems to like the Swedish national team and the support they get from them more as well. His older brother also competed for Sweden and he didn't get this good, his younger brother is also competing for Sweden but in baseball. So it's not like Sweden sniped him because he is so good, rather he became that good while competing for Sweden since he has done that since he was young

      Jealousy. Must be an American, right?! (Swedish mother, Swedish citizen.) Everybody in his family despises his father has competed for Sweden or does it until this day.
      By the way. With your name "logic" almost no American can compete for the USA as they all have names who originate from other parts of the world.

    This is yet another European Championship joke. Duplantis is an incredible pole vaulter and I very much respect him, however he is not European, and was born, lives and trains in America. For some reason he competes for Sweden. Clearly there are no standards for this championship competition, anyone who is good enough can get a European passport and compete.

    • @mackindle12345
      @mackindle12345 Рік тому +13

      his father is American, his mother is Swedish. he is therefore eligible to compete for either USA or Sweden, and he has every right to choose to compete for Sweden over USA.
      also, why does it matter which country he competes for?

    • @sandyacombs
      @sandyacombs Рік тому

      @@mackindle12345 He is competing in the European Championships which is exclusively for Europeans, not American or anyone else who is not European. Therefore he has taken a gold medal away from a true European and a spot on the Swedish national team from a true Swede.

    • @mackindle12345
      @mackindle12345 Рік тому +12

      @@sandyacombs so by that logic, do you also believe he should not be able to compete for USA either because if he were to win a major championship, he would be taking a gold medal away from a 'true' American or a spot on the USA national team from a 'true' American?

    • @sandyacombs
      @sandyacombs Рік тому +2

    • @mackindle12345
      @mackindle12345 Рік тому +7

      clearly I don't understand yours either... but just because he was born and/or raised in America doesn't make him American. he has as much Swedish heritage as he does American, so he has every right to compete for whichever of those two countries he wants to.
