Great review as always Karl. 👍 I got the ART rig with the RS9 seat.....and with your discount, got it for the price of the RS6. Very happy with the choice. I'm 5' 10" and not a heavyweight by any stretch of the imagination and the RS9 is real comfortable for hours and hours of continuous use. ACC is my Sim of choice and it's nothing to do a hours practice, half hour of qualifying and a two hour race with no problem what so ever. Cheers from Australia mate 👍. Keep up the great work.

Karl, thanks so much for this video. The only comparison I have been able to find between the two seats! I ended up getting an RS9. I was hesitant when I first put it together at the lack of side bolster and the tight shoulder area, but in racing situations it has turned out to be perfect.
I have the RS9 and being my only racing sim seat, that I've own, I like it. The only thing I probably would change, would be, to maybe add a little more padding on the backrest. I just throw a couple of pillows for my back/neck, to make it a little more comfortable for me. Also having a pillow behind my back, if I want to recline it to like 170° I don't have the bottom of the backrest digging into my lower back. Sometimes if I'm not racing or gaming, and just sitting/laying there watching UA-cam. It feels pretty comfortable for me.
I believe GTOmega sells those neck and back supports but mostly out of stock for the leather and specific colors. I ended up using my gaming chair's neck and back pillow support. Makes a huge difference in comfort and feel.

@@JoelSc14 hey, I own the Titan and it’s pretty decent but my wheel mount isn’t in centre, properly and the weld quality at least on mine, is shockingly bad. Overall, it’s decent setup. Just don’t be an idiot, like me and keep it, if your not happy with the quality. They offered to take mine back and exchange but I was already annoyed that they sent it to me , in that state and just couldn’t be arsed. I recommend the Rs6 seat if you are 5,8 or under and are quite slim. I say this because I’m only a 30inch waist and I have a tiny bit of room on either side of seat. I’d imagine that someone with 34 inch and above, waist, will feel really squashed in the seat. So if ya average height and weight, go with RS6 and if bigger, go with either of the other 2 bigger seats.
@@grahamkelly8662 strange, my titan has been great, very nice quality, xl seat working well. Wheel deck is right where it should be. Very happy so far. Working great with the fanatac gt DD pro. I have it on furniture sliders, and it's super easy to move around. Have had it set up for a few weeks now

Bro love the reviews. Even 2 years later these videos are helping a yankee like myself learn about and help me shop around for sim racing gear. I am really wanting to get the omega titan with that rs9 seat. Hopefully this combination is still a good buy in 2023 with the budget at max of $600 (current price of the titan with rs9).
You mentioned being able to separate the ART cockpit. I've been going back and forth between the ART/Apex and was curious if that was possible with the apex as well? Also think you sold me on an rs9. I was back and forth being thin but also relatively short. Enjoy the sub for the genuine mate vibe and not someone force feeding marketing info.

I own the XL version from GT Omega, nice seat but loads of flex in the back and eventually the whole back rest bent backwards I had to manually bend it forward to where it originally was. Used it for about a year, now it sits in my shed cause I bought a NRG Prisma Large fix bucket... much better. Spend the extra $100 and get a way better seat elsewhere.
I am literally sitting in that exact seat as I type haha! (The RS6) She's being looked after mate! Loving the rig still Karl!! have now lost my life in sim racing haha!!
Hey Karl. I see in the comments you have the XL version also. I already have a XL office chair but wondering how much smaller the RS9 is compared? Looking to swop out my rSeat RS1 bucket seat for a recliner as an on the latger side and feel uncomfortable after a while in a bucket seat.
Say, after watching, it looks like the rs6 wouldn't be for me. Did you ever do the xl vs rs9?? It seems the xl has a wider seat. It gives up the nugget tray though...😄. Tough to judge the side bolsters on the xl. Great job showing those details between the 6 and 9.

Great video Karl, thanks! I have been trying like crazy to decide between the GT Omega seats and honestly I am still a bit stumped. At 5' 8" and 150 lbs I am not on the big side at all so I am not really sure. Since I live in south Florida I am partial to the fabric on the RS12 but that definitely seems to be a bit bigger of a seat. I reached out to GT Omega for advice but they didn't really have any other than to point me to the website. At least this gives me more info than I had on the RS6 and 9. 😁
I was in the same boat. Stuck between the RS6 and the RS9. I went with the RS6. I'm 6 foot 160 pounds. I should be fine. Lol. Comes tomorrow. I'm excited.

Hey Karl, great comparison! Really appreciate the measurements. I'm still trying to decide between the two seats, I think the XL version is just too big. The issue I have is both the wife and I drive, though its mostly me. I'm 6'0, 205#, and average build. She is 5'5" medium build (can't share numbers or I'm in BIG trouble). The seat length is a big question for the two of us as she doesn't want her legs dangling like a kid, but if its too short it may not be comfortable for me. The more important question is width fit. One question I have for you is waist. You said you fit snug in the RS6. Would you mind sharing your waist and chest measurement? We don't have a motion platform and I don't have any plans to get one in the near future, so the RS9 may be fine in that regard. My issue is whether we will fit properly in the RS6 width-wise. Can you use your own seat? Neither of those 2 seats relieve pressure off your legs. Your base pedal set does when it should be your seat. Just curious because I'd love to use one of my seats on this setup.

alright ive decided on the titan cockpit with the rs6 seat. Im looking into the G920 wheel and pedals for my first go around. Should I hold off on the G920 setup and get something Im going to enjoy longer down the road? I'm a PC player. Thanks for you advice!
Depends on your budget mate, if you think you will be in the hobby for the long run then I'd at least go Fanatec CSL DD and matching pedals... but if you're budget only allows for a G920 then thats absolutely fine too! :)

I have a two questions, I’m not sure if you still reply but would these seats work on a next level racing cockpits? And if so would the seat slider work with the next level racing cockpit? Preferably the Gtelite lite, sorry I can’t find anything on this, thanks!
They use Parcel Force and have great customer service so I wouldn't worry, I have never had anything arrive damaged... But! It is entirely up to you! Your risk.
Karl im bigger than the average bear, and have just gone from the rs6 to the xl rs. I found the rs6 to be a bit more uncomfortable than the xl rs. Also the rs6 side pads on the cushion had the metal bars come through (not pierced the vinyl) so that's why I upgraded, would've considered the rs9 if I new it was a tad bigger.

Great vid.. I own a Rs9 🤛🤜 Comfy sim seat for an average built guy, my 1 main grape with the seat is the back tilt mechanism makes a loud rattling noise when my Buttkicker 2 is on.
I keep wondering what should I choose between bucket and reclined seat , maybe the reclined are more comfy but I need that extra way to tilt back the bucket seats when is mounted with the brackets, can u do that also with the reclined ones ?

A lot of folks get the bucket seats because they are more stable under heavy braking. Do you find there's any measurable flex in the seat when braking hard?
All seats with adjustable backs have play/flex in the mechanism so yes there is mate (this goes for real life too), nothing that bothers me though, I can't use the fixed position bucket seats as I have a back problem so have no choice even if it did bother me! lol
Hi Karl I have the RS9 I wouldn't have the strongest back! I find it doesn't have great support. Have you heard of and work arounds for this I'm using a standard car seat at the moment 😢
Actually for a tall slender build the R6 would be a better choice as the seat base is longer and the back is taller. My build for instance is I am 6'4" with a 36" inseam and only weigh about 150lbs. So for me the R6 would by far be the better seat choice than the R9. Not so sure at 6'4" that would really be considered a "childish" size.
I was put off by the hump on the RS9 and similar seats. It looks like it might make left foot braking harder, or interfere with my crown jewels, although I've never sat in one and don't know if either is true. For all I know it could make left foot braking more comfortable by adding a little extra cushion for the leg that's crossing over.

Damn I went for the RS9 and only after the seat was shipped to me (Portugal) I saw this video, now with all these measures I am regretting wenting for the RS9 and bot the RS6 because the RS6 has the exact same dimensions as my car seat, so it would be perfect 😓
I'm about to get me a GT Omega rig this Christmas. I've been an RS9-guy for quite some time but now tend towards the RS6. After your wonderful review, still can't decide really, but since the RS9 is sold-out, I don't have to XD
I've just taken delivery of their XL seat and very happy with it, the reason I went for the XL was not because I'm a large person but because I have a disability and have trouble getting in and out of chairs and I thought it would be easier than the other two. Thanks mate! Yeah still a decent cockpit, if you can stretch to the GT Omega Prime Lite that is better but not the tubular look of the Titan.

Hey Karl. I see in the comments you have the XL version also. I already have a XL office chair but wondering how much smaller the RS9 is compared? Looking to swop out my rSeat RS1 bucket seat for a recliner as an on the latger side and feel uncomfortable after a while in a bucket seat.

Say, after watching, it looks like the rs6 wouldn't be for me. Did you ever do the xl vs rs9?? It seems the xl has a wider seat. It gives up the nugget tray though...😄. Tough to judge the side bolsters on the xl. Great job showing those details between the 6 and 9.
I didn't mate no sorry, but basically the XL is just bigger in all directions.

I'm 5'9 but the xl rs and the rs6 are the same price. Would you chose the xl rs even as a smaller guy? Heard good things about that seat.
they will both suite you fine so go with what you prefer the look of IMO mate.
Great video Karl, thanks! I have been trying like crazy to decide between the GT Omega seats and honestly I am still a bit stumped. At 5' 8" and 150 lbs I am not on the big side at all so I am not really sure. Since I live in south Florida I am partial to the fabric on the RS12 but that definitely seems to be a bit bigger of a seat. I reached out to GT Omega for advice but they didn't really have any other than to point me to the website. At least this gives me more info than I had on the RS6 and 9. 😁
I was in the same boat. Stuck between the RS6 and the RS9. I went with the RS6. I'm 6 foot 160 pounds. I should be fine. Lol. Comes tomorrow. I'm excited.

Great review man, just wondering if you've reviewed the RS XL seat yet? I'm an average sized guy, 5 11, 13 1/2 stone. I prefer the all black look of the XL, I'm actually planning to put it in a flight sim rig, just wondring if you think the XL would be too big for me?
The XL is only a little bigger, definitely not too big! I'm also about 5'11/6ft depending what time of day I measure myself! lol

@@manfred898 thinking the same, went with the xl titan, and the seat base I don't think I would want any slimmer... Back is fine and comfortable, tic creeky sounding, overall quite happy... 8nm gt DD pro working well on it

Hey Karl, great comparison! Really appreciate the measurements. I'm still trying to decide between the two seats, I think the XL version is just too big. The issue I have is both the wife and I drive, though its mostly me. I'm 6'0, 205#, and average build. She is 5'5" medium build (can't share numbers or I'm in BIG trouble). The seat length is a big question for the two of us as she doesn't want her legs dangling like a kid, but if its too short it may not be comfortable for me. The more important question is width fit. One question I have for you is waist. You said you fit snug in the RS6. Would you mind sharing your waist and chest measurement? We don't have a motion platform and I don't have any plans to get one in the near future, so the RS9 may be fine in that regard. My issue is whether we will fit properly in the RS6 width-wise. Can you use your own seat? Neither of those 2 seats relieve pressure off your legs. Your base pedal set does when it should be your seat. Just curious because I'd love to use one of my seats on this setup.
It's just 4 bolts so you can pretty much use any seat.

alright ive decided on the titan cockpit with the rs6 seat. Im looking into the G920 wheel and pedals for my first go around. Should I hold off on the G920 setup and get something Im going to enjoy longer down the road? I'm a PC player. Thanks for you advice!
Depends on your budget mate, if you think you will be in the hobby for the long run then I'd at least go Fanatec CSL DD and matching pedals... but if you're budget only allows for a G920 then thats absolutely fine too! :)

They use Parcel Force and have great customer service so I wouldn't worry, I have never had anything arrive damaged... But! It is entirely up to you! Your risk.
Karl im bigger than the average bear, and have just gone from the rs6 to the xl rs. I found the rs6 to be a bit more uncomfortable than the xl rs. Also the rs6 side pads on the cushion had the metal bars come through (not pierced the vinyl) so that's why I upgraded, would've considered the rs9 if I new it was a tad bigger.
Yeah if you're a big fella the RS6 would definitely be too small, probably why the bolsters have worn, XL RS is a great seat though :)

The bolsters on the the bottom are about level or just slightly higher than the cushion. I recommend xl rs.

Great vid.. I own a Rs9 🤛🤜 Comfy sim seat for an average built guy, my 1 main grape with the seat is the back tilt mechanism makes a loud rattling noise when my Buttkicker 2 is on.
There's only a couple of components in that mechanism, see which part is vibrating and secure it if you can :)

I keep wondering what should I choose between bucket and reclined seat , maybe the reclined are more comfy but I need that extra way to tilt back the bucket seats when is mounted with the brackets, can u do that also with the reclined ones ?
You mean tilt the base upwards? No you can't mate, at least not without fabricating some custom brackets.
did you say you re 6'5" I am pretty short and im trying to make a choice between those 2 seats. im only 5'6" and the RS6 will be too tall for me, on the other hand the RS9 will be too wide for me. I am not sure what to choose.

A lot of folks get the bucket seats because they are more stable under heavy braking. Do you find there's any measurable flex in the seat when braking hard?
All seats with adjustable backs have play/flex in the mechanism so yes there is mate (this goes for real life too), nothing that bothers me though, I can't use the fixed position bucket seats as I have a back problem so have no choice even if it did bother me! lol
Hi Karl I have the RS9 I wouldn't have the strongest back! I find it doesn't have great support. Have you heard of and work arounds for this I'm using a standard car seat at the moment 😢

Got the RS9 last year and am very happy. RS6 looks a little “childish” maybe?
Actually for a tall slender build the R6 would be a better choice as the seat base is longer and the back is taller. My build for instance is I am 6'4" with a 36" inseam and only weigh about 150lbs.
So for me the R6 would by far be the better seat choice than the R9.
Not so sure at 6'4" that would really be considered a "childish" size.

I was put off by the hump on the RS9 and similar seats. It looks like it might make left foot braking harder, or interfere with my crown jewels, although I've never sat in one and don't know if either is true. For all I know it could make left foot braking more comfortable by adding a little extra cushion for the leg that's crossing over.
Literally makes no difference, you'd not know it's there in use... at least thats my experience, I think probably because the seat base it short.

I'd go with the RS12 mate, it's the nicest IMO.

Had my RS6 for at least 3 years and didn't wear out.
I've just taken delivery of their XL seat and very happy with it, the reason I went for the XL was not because I'm a large person but because I have a disability and have trouble getting in and out of chairs and I thought it would be easier than the other two. Also thank you Karl as I used your discount link. 👍
