In my experience, RainX'ing the windshield only really works once you're above like 45mph. It's such a satisfying feeling watching the water bead up and fly off once you're going fast enough.
Just bought some rain x ceramic clean and repel, have applied to all glass on my liberty wagon. Has been awesome with the sudden intense rainfall I experienced yesterday whilst driving around.
Good self-awareness bud. You got a lot going on and definitely need to finish those projects so, me being in the Good Samaritan that I am I'll take one off your hands free of charge😊
@Smeedia the only reason my 14 Sti is still going is because of you my friend. Sure , Maybe I did all the wrench turning and cussing but, you gave the knowledge and inspiration For the Love of the Game without asking for a penny. It's the least I could do😏. For real though we admire you and are gifted by your passion that you choose to share. Thank you!
Bugeye WRX bought new in 2002. Modded it. Blew it up in 2012 with 172,000 miles. Pushed in garage of the house I had just bought. Got married. Got divorced. In 2019 bought JDM replacement engine for WRX and a table full of new parts. Bought a 2009 Forester X to daily. What? STi parts fit Forester? Coilovers, rear lca's, wheels....and a ton more suspension parts. Now 2024 Forester is to nice to drive in the winter.....ohhh whats that over there? 2006 Forester for $500? New struts, front pads and rotors.....dad? Yes son. When you gonna finish the WRX? Uh.....
Always a nice day when you upload, its like when gears and gasoline uploads, its like saturday morning cartoons, cant wait to see more progress on blu as well
I'm not familiar with an FD wiper motor but if it's like most other wiper motors the little arm can be incorrectly clocked on the motor shaft. If is and you haven't tried it yet it might be worth a try. Removed the arm from the motor shaft and cycle it once and let it rest then reattach the arm with the wipers down. Either way with or without that thing is sick! ❤
Your vehicle speed was not working because the factory speed sensor in the transmission is wired to the factory instrument cluster. Since you removed the factory instrument cluster you broke this connection. The sensor in the trans is an analog sensor. The speedometer in the cluster took this analog signal and converted it to a digital signal, then sent that signal to the factory ECU.
That’s what I figured, I couldn’t pull continuity from any wire to the cluster either from the ECM. Might end up swapping it to the Trans later on. But for now we at least have it working 🙌
Hey brother I was watching how your wipers were acting here's something you can try. Where your wiper stops at, remove the wiper arm and position it where you want it and then try it again and see where the sweeping stops and where it ends
Wish it was the 2000s and this was happening right now that way we all have a chance to own brand new rx7s haha. and parts would be readily available 😂😂😂
Currently working on my Ls swapped Subaru and hoping that I’ll be able to persuade the Subaru ecu to control the interior and the Haltech to control the engine. Your channel has given me so much motivation to finish the project
You can keep the body stuff working. What I found to work best with mine was to keep the stock ECU to satisfy the CAN system. Bridge the Haltech can to the OEM Can and you can share some OEM Sensors to the Haltech. Find the wires for the Engine harness and trace them back to the ECU and ground em. Worked decently well for mine 🔥
Watchin this bad larry spit flames is insane love it, people on the road not familiar must be like what the F is wrong with this guys car hahaha. Man id kill for this car such a beauty you've done so well with it
@Smeedia I feel that, it's coming up on peak season already for work 😭 and I'm still trying to shuffles money around 🤣🫠 why is everything so hard sometimes.
What brand of alternator do you recommend have 2005 2.5rs and gonna do a rally build with auxiliary lights currently some rigid industries and plan on add more lights. The Current alternator loaded is at 10V and unloaded it’s 13V need something a little stronger
RANDOM UPDATE!!! my fb is now a fram and is on roller trollies. I get to start on the engine bay soon. Eager to your rx7 finished!!! I will finish the video in a bit
about the pop ups. in my FC rx7 if you flip the switch for the pop ups back and forth at the right frequency it will raise and lower the headlights sequentially vs at the same time and everybody loves that shit.
@@Smeedia have you tried 80-100 beats per minute or so? it will wink up and down very easily if you just continually go back and forth in my experience. its well worth learning as a technique.
@@Smeedia apparently the cheater way to achieve this is add a small resistor between headlights in the circuit that connects the motors that raise the headlights. since the circuit goes battery drivers side motor, passenger side motor.
@@Smeedia true haha the woman's fight was honestly the best, I passed out after that and watched the paul/tyson fight this morning after waking up haha
Watching the homie get stoked on the FD was the best part! It makes you appreciate the car way more.

Rain-X and kinda working windshield wipers should get the job done for now 😅 it is nice to watch it all bead off though 🚙💨

Blu should be a fun one when it comes time 🥳
YAY!!!! It'll be almost the same feeling as hearing it the first time when everything finally works and feels "finished".
Right?! Just a couple small things left at this point 🙌
I am the exact same way dude. Love the videos as always.
It gets us all I swear 😂 as soon as a shiny née project comes we all get distracted 😂
This video was trippy when you were in the RX7 and calibrating, legit the same roads i drive down everyday to get home

@@Smeedia Lol car's lookin great though, the wipers are definitley a need for this time of year especially

I'm a rotary lover of content on yer channel. I'm a Subie lover, but enjoy the variety. Best of luck 🍀
Always appreciate the support Brad! Should be a fun time getting this thing on the dyno 🔥
The true answer to headlights up or down is sleepy eyes lol. Should look into getting the module that lets you do it, plus winks and whatnot too.
Once we get though all the required repairs we can start that stuff 😅

I tried that as well and the wipers seem to act the same regardless. The transmission arms also sound like they want to die 💀
Shit okay, it could be possible that the worn out arms are causing to go out of alignment. Hope you figure it out soon @@Smeedia
Wipers on my 86 brat are just like that. Fun fun.
They also go down when they should go up? 😂
aiming to daily drive a rotary.....a brave man, you are.
Much valor, many courage.
wow.
You can use a good wax if you don't have rain-x
All I had was ceramic coating 😅 idk if that’s a smart idea for a windshield lol
Reluctor sensor is junk as a wheel speed sensor.
You need a Hall effect as it has a cleaner square wave signal
I’ll prob swap over to the trans sensor later. For now this at least works to be able to get a sense of speed 😅
Wish it was the 2000s and this was happening right now that way we all have a chance to own brand new rx7s haha. and parts would be readily available 😂😂😂
Dude wouldn’t that be nice 😂 being able to order new parts for em still would be a dream 😂
Wipers are rhd and lhd specific it could be a rhd module spinning backwards
Correct, we still have the LHD motor just swapped the brushes and a couple other small things over
Damn, that thing sounds so good!. :D
The FD makes such good noises 🤌🥵
