Cool Shirt man! LOL Great Idea! I followed your other instuctions for putting in a piezo and it worked supr well. Thankyou. I will give this a try too!! Happy Thanks Giving and Thank You for GIVING. Your Vids are the best.
That's a neat way to build those. Quick and versatile. Question... You've made hundreds of guitars and what you do works, but the ends of a string - the saddle and the fret on the neck, are nodes. The nodes don't vibrate much. Wouldn't the best place to put the piezo be where the sting vibrates most? or where the wood vibrates most? I think.. think.. that the wood picks up vibrations off the sound waves of the strings, not the saddle. So the wood would probably vibrate most between the saddle and the fretboard - depending on the construction of the box and bracing. Would that not be a better place to put the piezo?
several things… measure where you need to place the saddle, drill large enough hole to route leads thru so you can slide the saddle around in the intonation zone. 😆
Cool beans, er- pickup, Del. 🎉thanks!
Cool idea Del ,I look forward to hearing it.
Have you ever thought about using an old lapel mic as a pickup?
Can't wait to hear it.

Hi there from an old fan from Germany. That's a cool idea. But what about the sound? Can't wait to hear it.
Coming soon!
That's a cool idea, how does it sound? 😎
@@SouthernFireGuitars i can’t wait to hear it myself… i’m doing a video on your gift box … stay tuned 😎
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar I am staying tuned :)
Uh oh, now we have Del and Michael collaborating - this could get even more interestinger
@ hehehe… just wait 😜
@SouthernFireGuitars what is your shirt size… ??
Call it the “Del O Tone” saddle. I’ve been naming my items under “Jack O Tone”
Delecaster, Delocaster, Delson Del Paul, Delmer, Delanez, Flying Del, etc etc
How about a tutorial on how to make a ROD PIEZO saddle bridge?!...
would be similar but using a rod rather than a disc

try it… i’ve had only bad luck placing piezo anywhere else than under the saddle
Awesome video. How do you mount it and is that a jumbo fret?
im going to drill a hole in the top of the cigar box strategically so it can move around in the area where intonation exists
any fret will work…
Would love to see a video on that!
You should call it,
The Patented Puckett Piezo.
@ i was thinking “The Stinger”. since it kinda looks like a scorpion… 🤔
how do you intonate if wires are through the box?
