Brilliant!! All this goes toward simplifying the mechanics of tennis, in this case, the serve. In my case, once the stroke mechanics become a habit it opens up the ability to simply play the point.
Good job, they used to say hold it like you'd hold an ice cream cone. Also I think putting your right foot back further may prevent you from opening up too soon.
