Honesty, the place id want to live in wouldnt even be a town, but rather the Village Bridge. Its a calm, relaxing area with loads of nice people that give you free food, sports courts and the mall is only one route over. @@linuxman7777 Lilycove city has the shopping mall, an art museum, the Pokémon contest, Game Freak headquarters, a nice beach and a port with a ship that goes to Slateport city. It has almost everything you could ever need.
Fortree and Mossdeep are some of the coolest places in the series imo. Just visualising them as real places gives me such strong mental image. Imagine seeing the Tree pokemon moving around under you in Fortree? Or Mossdeep by the sea...both the exploration of the waters and the exploration into space...mixed with the brisk, slightly seaweedy air
I would love to live in some of the larger locations like Lilycove, Goldenrod, or Nimbasa cities. Alternatively kicking back into the quiet, simple life in the smaller towns sound nice too especially the ones themed around farming or historical landmarks.
I feel like the gym cities in Galar (besides Spikemuth) should get bumped up in terms of entertainment value since the gyms are big sports stadiums where you can watch battles, and with the added spectacle of Dynamaxing. Even smaller, quieter towns like Stow-on-Side and Ballonlea would still have you entertained when you can go and watch people fight the Big Cake.
I have been to many of these places IRL. Been to Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. I liked Petalburg City, Oldale, Fallarbor town, Olivine City, and Evergrande City My friends have been to Slateport, but it is too famous for me to visit.
2:29 My guy, there's literally an NPC near the cerulean cave that doesn't allow anyone except for the champion to enter due to the dangerous pokemon inside. So if you entered, you'll probably get torn apart by the wild Pokemon in there (if not by Mewtwo)
Yeah, Ecruteak is my number one pick for favorite place to live in the entire Pokemon world. It's beautiful, peaceful and I'd get along great with the kimono girls as a diehard Eevee fan. You're also the intersection for 3 other towns, notably goldenrod so you're not too far from things to do while not being burdened with big city life
My favorite city is Laverre City. It's a shame there's nothing much to do there lol besides the PokeBall Factory and the Cafe where you go to different rooms.
One of the biggest problem in SV was that even if it was open world it felt that settlements were less explorable than earlier in generations. So we've come to an opposite problem than early games did. Instead of few buildings in each town they have now more but none/few we can enter or interact with.
What about the Isle of Armor? You mentioned Freezington but I think you forgot the isle of armor. It's on a island so it has beaches, there's a dojo to train and the gym leaders occasionally appear there.
@@dizzypro4974 I think it's implied that all the dojo trainers have rooms in the isle of armor or at the very least take the train to go to their homes. In fact, Klara and Avery's rare league card seem to imply that they stay/live in the Circhester hotels given the design of their rooms.
@@giboit. even if there are rooms in the dojo, I wouldn't call a monestary a town in real life, I guess it's a place you can live but it's not a town IMO. I suppose since cities are included, you could argue that smaller settlements should be too but Bill's house isn't and that seems a seem similar size to the dojo to me
Honestly all this tells me is that you can't really appreciate calmer, more serene things. The cathedral not having music, the enjoyment of bustling cities because 'you won't get bored', the lack of appreciation of white's opelucid city, etc. Like it's a good video don't get me wrong, but expanding your horizons is a good idea
That’s what I was thinking tbh, I mean it’s not a bad thing but first thing I thought when this guy was formulating his tier list was, “hmm, this guy sure loves cities!”
What I find really interesting is that your idea of a nice place to visit vs and nice place to live are the complete mirror of mine. Like, a big city is a nice place to visit, but living there? Nah. I'll take Newbark any day of the week.
Why can’t people just grasp the concept of Pokemon towns being oversimplified abstract versions of “actual towns”. How can people live in a place without hospitals, schools, supermarkets, etc. they do exist they just dont need to be represented in a videogame
I personally would put Lacunosa in stay the hell away from teir because of the lacunosa legend saying Kyurem from the nearby giant chasm supposedly ate people and while it doesn’t appear to do so anymore because either it decided it wasn’t interested or the efforts of the lacunosa residents via building a wall and forcing everyone to stay at home at night means if I was living there I might be in danger of being eaten by a frozen dragon monster but even if I’m not I’d be forced to stay inside at night every single night and while I don’t enjoy being outside alone unless there’s snow on the ground I do enjoy being with family members in the evening every now and then and I wouldn’t be able to do that in lacunosa town but even if I did go outside and something bad happened no one would be around to help me even if I screamed my lungs out bloody murder for help they’d probably just ignore me because they’d be afraid of being eaten and I’d rather live somewhere else without the threat of being eaten and no nightly stay at home orders because I think I can speak for everyone on the whole planet that we’re all sick and tired of stay at home orders

That comment made me feel old too bro.
I played the original pokemon red 😅
are you me 😭
@@od3910 blue for me but still...
How do you think those of us who started with Pokemon Red feel?
Excuse me but ORAS Mauville City deserves its own spot in the tierlist
No music in the cathedral is kinda expected... No?
It's a cathedral.
The Hoenn towns deserved more praise tbh
Lilycove city is literally perfect, I don't care what anyone else says
@@pedroacevedo5791IRL it isn't that great. Fallarbor and Petalburg are better places tbh. Feel game freak did those cities dirty though

I never thought anyone else would be interested in this topic lol thx for catering to my niche interest in pokemon lore :’)
Humilau City is literally right next door to where Kyurem is. Unlike Lacunosa Town, there is no wall to protect you from this beast.

It is polluted with tourists nowadays. It is quite beautiful.
Ecruteak is based off of Kyoto in Japan

All scarlet and violet towns should all go to f tier because you can go in most house so you have to go outside to live
Well in game yeah you cant enter most buildings, but that is just a game mechanic, people do live in the cities of course so yeah

Caelestic Town and Blackthorn city are pretty much the same yet they're in different categories
You didn't include the towns in the Sevii Islands or Sinnoh's Battle Zone.
Ok this will be a good video
Pixel towns look so great
Does Village Bridge in Unova count?
