The best thing about RWD/4WD GM vehicles is that they go together like Legos. The owner probably could have found a better manual but the stock one is cheap and good enough. I always preferred the 95+ facelift over the pre-facelift GMT400. The green is fantastic.
I want a 1995 ext cab 2wd long bed. Swap in a 6.0 & manual trans. Dually bed swap with some wide single tires in the rear. Phantom Dually. We need more of them!
Bro I haven't watched you in awhile and I'm seriously loving the new intro theme. I like that it's the old madly but with an 8bit sound font. And the redesigned screen on the submission instructions is cool too.
Sweet little truck. Years ago my dad bought his gf a 93 (I think) Chevy c1500 RCSB with a chipped TBI 350 and a 4 speed auto with a shift kit. Even though those older tbi 350s weren't super powerful it moved that little truck around pretty damn well and if you got on it at all it would chirp the tires 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I can only imagine how peppy a 5.3 with a stick would be in one of these little trucks. Great video as always man.
2:40 that laugh at 2x's speed is one of the funniest things I've heard all day. Also, killer review of a killer truck. 4:37 Same thing with the BFB test fail.
These are the best looking GM trucks ever, a very close runner up is the 67-72. The 305 and 350 in these were stupid slow and lame though. When a stock 5.3 is a night and day improvement… that says everything people need to know. Beautiful truck, and a pretty good review. This was the last generation of function before form, but they were still beautiful too n
@@Project_Low_Expectations Thanks, yeah it's pretty clean but it has had rust repair. You can see the cab corners and rockers a different color from when the previous owner repaired them.
@@Midnight_Oil_MFG. yep, looks like it needs rear cab mounts too… but considering they are almost all rusted out in Ohio, and I know how much your state LOVES salt and salt brine up there… she look remarkable.
@@Project_Low_Expectations yeah lol don't even get me started on road salt. It's not perfect but yeah definitely solid for what these trucks usually look like in the Midwest for sure.
Bring back, full-size, manual pickups!!!!!🤩
I’ve got an ‘88 C1500 with a 4.3 V6. I guess I know what needs to be done next. I’m thinking maybe an LS9 out of a ZR1.
Atleast he kept the manual. Rather take the 4.3 v6 with manual than an LS with an auto.
Agreed!

That's such a cool truck! Right to the point; no frills, no sugar coating, just simply cool.

Or, consider this: narrowed dually axle. Looks stock unless you get behind it.

Wish that they made more of the C and K trucks

That video game boss music intro is hitting tho
Srt seats lol comfy.
I have one just like this the same build but a standard 4.3 I’m thinking about putting a 359 one day I have those same headlights tho 100
5:13 That's what he said.
Gay
GMT 400 FTW. I think I would have done a 6.0 swap though.
So cool
@@Brian_Eugene_Leecalm down that ego bro. It's a base work truck worth less than 10k lmfao
I've got an 85 k10 Silverado.
GM used cheap plastics on the door and interior
It's a truck. It doesn't need to be luxurious, it needs to work.
Those cheap plastics was better than the plastics they replaced, which was better than the steel they replaced…
What's the rear gearing?
Owner here, it has the original 3.73:1 LSD.
@@Midnight_Oil_MFG.that’s a damn sharp ole truck. Pretty clean too, especially for that part of the country.
