I sold one of these kits Ben for 30 odd squid so I could buy some green 🤣I went out and acquired back after a few weeks 🤣

The Silver fronted versions were Uniden Uniace 100 and Uniden Uniace 200 came out first, around November 1981. A few years later the black fronted versions cam out and were just called Uniden 100 and Uniden 200. These later versions were much better incoming audio as they were fitted with crystal filters. Then cam the Uniden 300 which was for the Euro 40 channels, and then came the Uniden 400 which was for the 934 channels. I have a Uniden 100 (black fronted) and as it was legal to have small modifications done on CB27/81, so I had an auto squelch board fitted, and it performed like a professional two way radio. Much better than the auto squelch fitted on the new rigs out now.

@alanslade2319 I bought that 736 about 10 years ago it was 300 quid. I think I know the radio you’re thinking of but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called!

I can't find that radio. Uniden 200 comes up as a scanner. I've got several radios from the '70s, including two I bought brand new. One is a Radio Shack TRC-24B 23 channel that I bought new in 1975. The other is an RCA Co Pilot 14T301 40 channel. Both mobiles. Neither have any kind of digital display. No LEDs. I also have a Radio Shack SWR/Power Meter exactly like that one, that I bought new nearly 30 years ago. It was fairly inexpensive back then. It still works better than new ones costing $200 or more. In the U.S., MFJ stands for Mighty Fine Junk.
The last two digits of the serial number is the date of year made it's and 80!!!!😀
The difference between the Uniden 200 and the Uniace 200 is the Uniden 200 has a black front, I have them both

there are now 27mhz am/fm/usb/lsb ssb cb radio. band new ones out now.
And most of them are complete JUNK. President makes a good CB. Other than that, you're better off going with a Galaxy or Striker 10 meter radio and converting it.
