    Best demo yet! Can’t wait for the next video! The biggest John Deere I’ve ever been in was a 8295r that also had an IVT

      Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure they like it too though...free advertising in a sense. This is the largest farming channel on youtube. Kuster's are probably a big deal over there in Potosi!

      think the youtube channel is the ticket,, but john deere let me use a demo 6115 while waiting for my new one to come in they kept the newholland and sent me with new tractor ,, knew i was in a bind and had hay down ,,, ive been through deere kubota newholland and fiat was my first bigger cab , best support from any is deere they go out of there way even enough to where i bought a big deere round baler still run newholland roller when have 2 tractors baling, im 33 have a small farm/hay operation so could be advertisment a little bit ,,also ac had temp relay and compressor fail thy came and fixed it same day 50 miles away, think kubota woukd be next pick ive had to wait 2 weeks before for newholland parts and drove 110miles to get part for baler or wouldve been a week

      Not much advertising really as people who want to buy one will buy one regardless it's just Ryan getting his demo just as any other potential buyer heck we had a New Deutz Fahr on a demo here last week it's really common

    That 8370R is a cool tractor. That IVT works a lot like a hydrostatic transmission.

    That’s a beauty nicely optioned to not over the top but everything you could ever want get rid of the 82 and step up to something like this or even bigger then as your operation grows you don’t have to worry about tractors going up with it. Nothing like getting to play with nice expensive machinery

    What a coincidence. Today right after school, I am going to go try out and drive a John Deere 8320R. Very interesting. Very similar tractors they are, from the specs I have read on Keating Tractor and Equipment in Liberal Kansas sound very similar.

    This last summer I drove a 7200r that was a 2015 and it had the power quad transmission in it and it would go into like a Eco role mode that would allow it to go up to about 32 miles an hour on the steep hills and when you put it into e range and second gear it would bring the engine RPMs down to about 1400

    The 8365r would work well with a strip till rig. You could put Anhydrous ammonia along with 10-34-0 to get your yields up and one field trip from harvest to planting! You could mix in liquid K + S if did tillage in the fall. Or just use dry S+K2O+ ZnSo4 after harvest and strip till. You could then spend a month in the tropics with the extra yield and work saved.

    First time I drove an ivt I forgot to pull back the stick so when I saw you didn’t pull anything back I was like “here it comes” advice from me is I know it’s habit but pull the stick back and leave the throttle where it sits and put your foot on the break at the last couple seconds. More advice: watch out when you go from F2 to F1

    Hi Ryan A suggestion for you about starting the diesel tractor
    admittedly I dont own a tractor but a Diesel Hi Ace van that can be a real pain to start at times some years ago when I first got it a mate who was into the diesel vehicles suggested this and it usually works
    When you turn the key on and when the RED LIGHT for the glow plugs goes out wait for a further 10 to 15ish seconds and you hear a click then start it you / I have found that works far better in starting the diesels than either just getting in and starting it like a petrol engine or even waiting for the glow plugs to go off
    Give it a go you may be surprised it works.on all the people I have told it to that drive cars at least ,

  • @douglaslaramie9245

    Very impressive. I would never consider anything that new. To many electronics. I talk to the guys with all these new tractors and combines and hear a lot of bitching about the failure of the electronics (Red & Green). There they sit. Dead in the water, waiting for tech support to arrive and finally after 3 guys tried to diagnose it someone figures it out and now the wait to get the new component 2 days latter. 3 days or more in the middle of prime bean harvest is extremely frustrating apparently. These machines are relatively new. What in the hell will happen when the mice have had their way with it for 40 years. You can't fix shit. Bells and whistles (side window wipers, cool) Creature comfort for sure, you just have a massive heart attack waiting to get it fixed. I'm old, just quit farming this fall. I know, OLD. That's what they are building today, what else can a guy do. Nothing. Trading up maybe the right move. With the drivers you have sizing the VT better would have been a better option to me but again, "I'm OLD". I am truly glad I'm done, out, finished. Ryan there's an old Rolling Stones song (google Rolling Stones, LOL) it says "you don't always get what you want, but you get what you need " It's your money, none of my business, but one of the top mistakes you don't make is buying equipment in anticipation of acquiring more land. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Good luck Ryan, I mean it. I like you. I was no different then you when I was your age. Enough of this 65 YO fart babbling. KIT d

    • @Blazer02LS
      @Blazer02LS 7 років тому +4

      It's even worse in the fire equipment these days. Yeah it's great to have remote valves and computer controls to lower the chance of mistakes, BUT when you pull up to an active fire and because of some damn sensor you can't get water off the rig or even use the pump you have a serious problem. I have seen that happen quite a few times and not to the same rigs. !!!!

    • @douglaslaramie9245
      @douglaslaramie9245 7 років тому +2

      Thank you gentlemen. Are they building what we want or what leads them to more sales. I just don't know. I'm going to let the next generation figure it out. Doug

    • @lukestrawwalker
      @lukestrawwalker 6 років тому +1

      Yeah, I agree...
      One thing is for sure... this new equipment isn't going to be around for 40-50-60 years like the old 4020's and stuff that are still going strong decades later and will last decades more.
      As that electronic stuff ages, it will start to go to pot and between wires drying out and cracking, mice chewing on stuff, corrosion from old age, and electronics finally going wonky they'll be "unfixable". The companies will finally get tired of supporting all the bazillion electronic parts on them and then you'll have a lawn ornament or scrap for the junkyard. The pollution controls are a lot harder on the engines and the IVT transmissions are SO complicated and have SO many moving parts, that when they break or wear out they'll simply cost too much to fix when that tractor is old.
      I'm a HUGE believer in the KISS principle. Sure some bells and whistles are nice, but I for one DO NOT want them in the "critical path" to making the thing work. IOW, yeah, air conditioning, power mirrors, etc. is NICE, but it's not ESSENTIAL-- you CAN work without it if you needed to. Even my newest tractor with the key shutoff instead of the old "kill cable" you pulled to shut down the diesel engine... I PREFER the kill cable-- it either works or it doesn't-- and if it breaks you can STILL shut the engine off by taking the screw out of the cable and pulling the kill lever back on the injector pump! They went and put a darn solenoid and electronic relay and crap between the key and the fuel pump to do the SAME JOB, and when that stupid relay or solenoid goes out, or the metal shutoff pin with the rubber tip gets stuck in the solenoid, then you can't get the tractor to start or shut off without "jerry-rigging" it... More than a few times when we were row cropping I had to unscrew the solenoid, remove the rubber-tipped plunger, and screw the solenoid back on the fuel pump to get the tractor to start, go do the work, and then had to either "pop the clutch" to stall the tractor and shut it down, or close the fuel valve under the tank to shut it off, until I diagnose what was wrong and get parts and fix the stupid relay or solenoid controlling the fuel shutdown.
      Now, if such a SIMPLE thing can cause problems, what about all these gazillion electronic EVERYTHING on these modern machines?? No thanks-- I'll stick with the older stuff that is SIMPLE and *just works*. Back when you could fix stuff with baling wire and KEEP GOING, rather than sitting around waiting for some kid with a computer to come out from the dealer and tinker with it to even figure out what's wrong....
      Later! OL J R :)
