I’m Honey Smack Diggin’ brother.. Some people just have NO IDEA about the humidity factor.. I hate that our videos don’t truly show the terrain well.. Loved the underwear lens clean 😂Great tip on the sand to clean the stainless cup.. Lookin’ forward to our follow up video to discuss our trips 👊🏻
Can’t wait!!
Great video brother. My graet grandfather and grandfather were some of the first to live on the land im on. I really appreciate what ive learned from them. My great grandfather bought this land because he said if times were tough he could always plant potatoes and that would get us thru the tough times. Ill never forget that. And all the things i learmed from them
I feel you on the voice and intuition, I have the same, I use to always tell my guys in combat if you feel something strongly in your gut and your hairs standup pay attention that’s our primal instincts. For me I have the small voice saying be careful something’s wrong or whatever and so on. But the voice has never failed me.
Well said!
I have slept in a grave yard.
Assigned to a Pathfinder unit, extremely LONG and HOT/MUGGY day of busting brush.
Just whooped.
Graveyard in the back woods along a gravel road.
It was kept up well.
In the center was a roundabout, in the center of the circle was a large oak tree.
As the fog rolled in, I left all my equipment on, sat down, leaned back against the tree and got a four hour nap between missions.
Very peaceful.
I ensured I was respectful and I thanked them for their company.
A little after midnight I headed back out.
Most genuine survivalist. Thanks for all the insightful info you continue to provide for everyone.
Pro prepper guy makes a video but forgets his map.... Probably the best lesson of the entire video! 👍
Pro prepper guy! I like that. Probably gonna get a name tag.
Definitely feel your pain about the heat. Sitting on my front porch on Sunday evening dripping sweat. I now enjoy watching summertime treks more than doing them. Guess I'm showing my age. Keep up the great content sir!
Thanks for watching.
You never cease to amaze me with your knowledge
Good morning Mr. Salyer. It was 5am, got a wake up call from Mum on Christmas Island to check your vid out so woke up my sisters & watched your show to the end. We like it & know what you gone through coz we did a three day survival on the Hills. Knowing where the water & edables location is advantages. That bright single stem mushroom look very fimiliar, Mum said it's medicinal but it is very halucigenic too. Too much will make you really sick. Very true, our ancestors are remarkable. We are very lucky to have known & learn from our great grandparents & grandparents on both side of the family. When we were little we were taught to overcome fear by spending a night in the cemetery. We were shit scared but we did it. Now all grown up without fear we walk through anything & anywhere except maybe not in Mogadishu. As you've said just be smart about things before doing it. Looking forward now for JJ's episode. A thousand thank you Mr. Salyer. Cheers from Australia. Going back to bed now....
Just so you know, my (J.J.) video came out on Wednesday 👍🏻
Wake up call for my video! That is great! Thanks so much for all the support.
As per usual very entertaining and informative. Thanks much
Glad you enjoyed it
0:34 For a very brief moment I thought that tree branch had been placed there for privacy reasons😂🤣
Ha!
Awesome stuff brother 👊🏻🇺🇸
Another great vid! Thanks for sharing! Looks like Yellow Stagshorn Fungus to me my friend. 👊🙂🏕️
Really like these in the field videos! I like to explore and get off the beaten path, go lite weight is much more enjoyable, terrain looked just like my area here in Appalachia , keep these videos coming! My Hill People pack is on the way! I’ll be out there in the bush real soon
Great video. Everyone complains about the algorithms, but you cant really condense a long adventure into a short video. This is one I'll watch and rewatch.
Thanks!!
Thanks for all you do.
Doesn’t have to be fancy to be educational and entertaining.
I appreciate that!
Now you and JJ have to do a video where you guys actually meet up at a desired location 👍🤙🤙🤙
Fun video. That was a great location. I have slept close to a couple of cemeteries. No one bothered me 😂
Outstanding AF Jason, really like the longer format video's! Stay safe out there bub.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Wasn’t sure how the longer video would do. Saves me a lot of editing time that’s for sure!
Thanks for all you do.
Rugged down n dirty video! Really enjoyed tagging along with you. 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
I love that cemetery and your video ❤
All good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I use a ridge line between the carabiners on my hammock to keep the angel of it the same , i use a double nest and when i lay on the diagonal i lay dang near flat infact ive slept on my side even in it . Great vid Jason
My favorite UA-camr
Awesome, shalom
Your vids are great cause youre out doing "it". Its also nice to know you're pro 2A without wearing that aspect into the ground, so to speak.
I've recently started doing hikes/overnight camps, and using a hammock. Thanks so much for the tip on how to sleep in one, can't wait to try it out. I am enjoying the hammock, beats sleeping on the ground, but yea, getting that "wrapped banana" feeling.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video ! Lots of cool stuff.
Thanks for watching!
You have got to be covered in ticks down here Arkansas you go outside you get ticks even in your own yard u get ticks on u
Sometimes
Definitely can be a problem. For some odd reason this year hasn’t been bad. Maybe it’s because it’s been drier
@@blueridgerealtorI've found that there's less ticks jumping on you when it has just rained or has been wet outside. The more dry the more ticks in my area in Florida....who knows 🤔
Love these videos.
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching
Good stuff!
See you on the next one
You're right next door to me I'm in Central Alabama 85° in August we know exactly what you're talkin about
If you're gonna sleep in the little church by the cemetary, bring Bourbon. Great ice breaker if you have "visitors". You'll probably get some great stories...
I love these videos
Thank you for the video.
You're welcome
The field videos rock
Thanks!
Great video, mister
Glad you enjoyed it!
85 degrees in august in the south….. the air that you wear 😂😂
Ha! Sounds about right.
Best channel
Greetings from Indonesia ....👍👍❤️❤️🙏
My kind of video! keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
You'd definitely know if you had guardian. Its brutal
Thank you
I love my hammock, helps my back... one tip... never set your hammock up no higher then your willing to fall.. lol
Good point!
Cool spot
Thanks for making these videos. 🔥 🪶 💧
More to come!
Listening to the Lord is a wise chose. Another Word: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23
God Speed and God Bless,,,,,,,
Semper Fi,,,
p.s. slept in a cemetery, very quite, very peaceful. And welcome shelter, similar to your trek on this vid.
And I’m in Davy Crockett country, my roots go back to the 1790’s in East Tenn.
We use to sleep in a morgue in Falluja Iraq never had a problem lol
The more you know, the less you need!
I'm a new subscriber I just started watching a couple of days ago I don't know if you ever did a lesson on ranger beads You count your step the string with a ranger beads on You move them up So make sure you know how many miles you travel That would be a good Lesson to teach Same thing with A Bic lighter With gorilla tape wrapped around it a string between the lighter And chapstick the lid of the chapstick a cotton ball Instant fire
Sleeping in a cemetery isnt bad, very peaceful.. You tho ,with your machete close by ...forget the survival hockey mask tho Jason 😏 great video tho...👍👍👍👍
That something was probably JJ or Bigfoot
😂😂
😂😂
JJ has pretty big feet.
@@SurvivalDispatch they could be cousins
Your videos are my favorite brother. I subscribed because you said listen to God.
Welcome aboard friend!
😎👍
Hi.
Do you use the leatherman wave as tool in the vid? Greetings from Germany
Yes I do!
34:04 good 34:21
Hard to beat the Stanley Cookset.
So maybe you're hearing voices from all of the untreated water and letting the bugs chew on you ? 😉😉
That works really well if you're familiar with the area that you happen to be in but if you happen to find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings you'll wish you had that map .
Agreed!
How often do u have to replace those filters on the grayl and what about the oring ? Any other points of failier. I want to get one but haven't pulled the trigger. There r 2 aozes available I thing. Do u know if that's the big or small one! Also that's machete. How thin is it? I have a usgi 18" one that is thicker than I would have liked. And a condor parang that is a great chopper. But I want one for vines and grass and briers
Ohh God speaks
A snack I like to carry is nutrient survival Choco rocks or some of their snack bars.
Chico rocks sound fantastic. I’ll have to give those a shot.
@@SurvivalDispatch they are have a ton of nutrients and 50 mg of caffeine per pack, you know they aren’t bad when my kids ask for them 😂.
Strange looking mushroom tbh
It’s called Chicken of the Woods. If cooked correctly then it truly tastes like chicken with a mushroom after tastes.
@@SurvivalDispatch we have that here in UK but it's fan shape and grows on trees saw some last year ☺️🌱🌳🇬🇧
What's the manufacturer of the hat you're wearing. It's cool.
Those mushrooms are clavulinopsis fusiformis, aka, golden spindles. Some field guides say they are edible but some say not, so I would not try it.
Good to know. Thanks
Good trip, except where Jj ended up in his video, is not where u are. Although I remember something about a graveyard in his video. Nice deception fellas! Lol!
That church is literally right down the road from where I was.. It might take 20 minutes to walk to it 👍🏻
Florida is hotter than 12 yards of hell
Hahaha! Agreed!
Off the beaten path for a second. What is the purpose of the paracord on the blade of the machte?
Death fingers fungus I can't remember exact name but it has to do With fingers
What caliber is the “tool”? Thanks for posting!

What is the name of the app you said had free map's Gaya?
Jason, so it sounds like the sol bivy was enough to keep you comfortable overnight?
Yes. I was happy with it.
@@SurvivalDispatch,just out of curiosity, if it was your only shelter with decent clothing, what kind of temps would you expect it to keep you comfortable? I have one I use primarily as a rain cover in the mountains here at 9000' ft, but was going to try to use it as a lightweight bivy alone or with a lightweight bag this fall while traveling through some other states with warmer temps. Thanks for showcasing this product, I have seen you use it a few times now.
💖⭐💖💝😇❤️♥️🌠💗 0:50
The 1 suggestion I make about water Avoid water around farms Those farms are gonna have chemical run off That they use on their plants and animals
Deyer ??? Jack's
For love of God, sheath that damn machete when your not using it. Walking around on slick terrain with an exposed blade is no Bueno bud.
Please don’t walk across logs carrying a machete
Ok mom sorry
Awesome, shalom
