  • Headed out to fullerton around noon and caught some nice freight action. Saw a lot of Dirty9's! Enjoy the video!
    What is a Form B???
Form B is Protection by a Track Bulletin
Displayed by Red,Yellow Flags or boards
Before entering Foreman limits they must travel at restricted speed
Before entering track bulletin limits, a crew member must attempt to contact the Foreman in charge by radio to avoid delay and report the train's location and the track being he is on. Once the Crew Member gets his Read back okayed. He follows the rules that are given to him "May pass my red bored at MP _", "Proceed through my limits at Maxium authorized speed, unless otherwised restricted."

BNSF 2336, Sante Fe (BNSF) 2864 on that cool local along with Faux Bonnet 717 and WAR BONNET 689 were definitely the highlights of this clip - GREAT catch bro!

Good catch. I live in Fullerton about 3/4 of a mile from that station, and I visit there several times a week. 3-way meets happen a lot there. Those Eastbound Control Signals ("searchlights") have been replaced with Safetran 3-Color Light Signals, so it's cool you got some shots of them. Liked hearing the scanner, too. Good job all around.

A speed restriction, which involves a red a red board, yellow and red board and a green board. The train slows down at the red/yellow board and when they approach the red board, they ask for permission from the foreman to pass it. After getting permission, once they pass the green board they can speed up again to track speed...

The closest i can get to that here in Aus is Dash 9 and SD70ACe LH (low Head-code) units hauling iron ore over the Nullabore Plain

Great video. For how long was the local "parked" at the station, and why did it go backwards at the end of the movie? is that due to that the stack train had to enter the third track from Barstow? (or that is where I guess it to come from)
