Good catch. I live in Fullerton about 3/4 of a mile from that station, and I visit there several times a week. 3-way meets happen a lot there. Those Eastbound Control Signals ("searchlights") have been replaced with Safetran 3-Color Light Signals, so it's cool you got some shots of them. Liked hearing the scanner, too. Good job all around.
BNSF 2336, Sante Fe (BNSF) 2864 on that cool local along with Faux Bonnet 717 and WAR BONNET 689 were definitely the highlights of this clip - GREAT catch bro!
A speed restriction, which involves a red a red board, yellow and red board and a green board. The train slows down at the red/yellow board and when they approach the red board, they ask for permission from the foreman to pass it. After getting permission, once they pass the green board they can speed up again to track speed...
Great video. For how long was the local "parked" at the station, and why did it go backwards at the end of the movie? is that due to that the stack train had to enter the third track from Barstow? (or that is where I guess it to come from)
