335i n54 ticking noise

FBO 335i NO TUNE making a ticking noise under light throttle or acceleration only can anyone shine some light I've done both vanos which I thought was the cause but I do have an O2 sensor to replace on b1s1 but that couldn't be the cause would it?

@robinvasquez- are you getting any engine fault codes (e.g engine malfunction, reduced power ; p0012 )

+Jon M yeah I got that once. I brought it to the dealer they said the reason was from my serpentine belt getting behind my crank seal and blocking my oil pick up. Supposedly

hm, that makes no sense. p0012 usually means faulty vanos solenoid. nothing to do with serp belt

Yeah which they believed was from the pick up blocking the oil getting to the solenoids. Crazy shit man

Engine was on its way out.. Right now the engines out and being replaced because it dried and spun a bearing.. Reason behind it was the serpentine belt tensioner was messed up so it kept shredding and coming off but it happen to get behind the crank pulley.. Missed the timing chain but still clogged my oil pick up tube so it told me lost of oil pressure but it was too late to save it
