You did a really great job here Gable seemed really comfortable around you guys and this is the realist he’s ever come across he is really likable I will keep coming back
Loved to see Gable humbled. This is the version I want my kids to look up to. Definitely one of the 2 greatest heavyweights of all time. I wish we could see Snyder v Steveson for the crown. Thank you, guys, for this new content.
Not to diminish Gable’s greatness BUT…When he wins 2 Olympic Golds, 1 Olympic Silver, 1 Olympic Bronze….and….3 World Golds, 3 World Silver, 3 World Bronze….and….20 additional World Level Medals…He will then be TIED with the LEGENDARY Bruce Baumgartner. Wake me up in the year 2040 and let me know if he did it. 😴
@@JS45678I think 3 Olympic Golds and 3 World Championships would equate to that. Not to knock the international tournaments, but winning Pan-Ams isn't as prestige as World/Olympic titles.
Gable mentioned he would work out after a match. Constantly working to separate yourself from the competition. That is a what Dan Gable, his namesake was like. I’ve read that when Dan was in college he could train all the time to stay ahead of the competition. I like how Gable said he is grateful for his loss to Casar. He learned from it. I look forward to seeing him in the 2024 Olymipcs. If he and Spencer win gold it will a great story. Legacy for Gable S, and for Spencer it will show that NCAA was his Larry Owings moment. On a other note I am glad Gable talked about being a real student, and that he did not get any special treatment for being an Olympic champion. "I wanted the paper" that is so important.
39:45 definitely gotta disagree here, Yianni won as a true freshman, true sophomore, then took Olympic redshirt, then Ewca canceled because of covid, and then came back and won 2 straight. Took him 6 years and he could’ve done it in 4 if it wasn’t for Covid (plus it being an Olympic year) so idk why everyone’s hating on Yianni now. Man won 4 titles fair and square so makes no sense to hate on him
@@ladev91 just my opinion but the dominance of Gable is what does it for me. All I know is they can both beat me so no disrespect to Cael he’s a great one also
I've watched Gable since he was a freshman in college, great speed and focus, he truly respects the sport of wrestling. Really well spoken for young man. Great interview guys.
Josh Barr is one however I don’t know how dominant he will be in college. But seeing Levi Haines I’ll say he has a hell of a shot at NCAAs. He’s also in Carters weight.
Nevermind I went and looked at the shorts. This is awesome. I've followed these 2 young men on their journeys since high-school. They'll knock this out the park. They did with this interview. Great for the sport. They do a great job and Fanco does as well
that’s bullshit about Yianni taking 8 years. Yianni won as a true freshman, true sophomore, he took an olympic red shirt, and then eiwa canceled a season, then he won the next two years.. So he was there for 6 years. Just like many others. Had the EIWA not canceled the sports season, he would have done it in 5. Also ,he won it the two most difficult years to win it. As a true freshman and true sophomore. the next year was the tournament was canceled cause of covid. What do you suggest he does then? Then the year after that EIWA canceled the sports season. Again.. what do you suffer the does then ? He never even took a covid year. He took two olympic red shirts and another reason for that was because the olympics were post poned.’. So yeah, Yianni was on the team one more year than the usual 5. Pretty good considering the NCAA tourney was canceled one year, EIWA canceled the next year, and the olympics were post poned while he takes olympic shirt. Don’t hate. If push came to shove and the tourney and eiwa canceled he wound have been 4 in 4 out 4 titles .
I'm not a huge youtube commenter, but love this. Well done letting Gable lead. Both y'all.
🙏
Great point.

Snyder is 97 kg Gable is 125 kg. I would say the bigger guy would win. That size difference is significant.
