I’ve been using the Pioneer HDJ 1500 for years, but they finally bust, I had to use my home Bose Cans as a backup but I’m in the market for new DJ ones, and at 80 quid, bargain! Nice review JP. 🎧🎤😎
What i love about these is that they are only 32 ohms Wich is great for me because I like to do a lot of composing and mixing on my phone and you don't need external power to run these well all I really wanted was good quality headphones that swiveled so I could switch between ears comfortably and these really do the trick (I have a galaxy s9 tho and those can power lkke 200 ohm headphones lol]
@@RealLifeDJ no problem Thank you for getting me into more DJ oriented stuff Imma composer at heart and I just personally like the idea of using very modern gear to create analog and organic sounds and a lot of dj gear happens to be wonderful for that I don't even really dj I basically just really love the performance options and effects and ill usually make my final recording with my flx 4 and it sounds wonderful and it makes master recording feel lkke they have a more specific and accurate soundstage and my final recording tend to sound simular to older vinyl stereo which is exactly my goal Sorry for the rant I just thought it was really cool I ended up down that rabbit hole and it ended up bei g a great decision lol Peace and love my man!
I think DJ's totally need over the ear headphones. Noise cancelling types are so expensive and I don't think there worth it. Pioneer is a well made and trusted name in the DJ Business. Nice to see they come with a screw on connector for quarter inch. Hard to loose.
D J Baz when you say ‘old telephone type’ are you referring to the single earpiece with a cable on it they you just hold to your ear when you need to? 😎🎧👍🏻
I was doing 3 / 4 gigs a week and they were getting a battering. Depends really on how you look after them. I have HD25’s as well and they are worth considering.
Hi from Brussels, Which is better, this Pioneer X5 or a Marshall Major ii? Is the cable detachable? It’s for practicing guitar and playing along Celtic trad tunes for collaborations on a reasonable budget.
Hi from Cook island. Would these work great on phones I'm not a dj. Just looking for a good pair of headphones. These headphones are available where I'm at Thanks
Would be interesting to see if I could get the bracelet bit that snapped on my old pair! It was where the actual earphone attaches to the main band! 😎🎧👍🏻

Please do a hdj5 vs cue 1 comparision.
Nice bit of gear. You could still use the old pair for just one ear. Lol 😂
Very much so! In fact that is exactly what I did when the Sony’s did not work! 😎🎧👍🏻
I've been putting up with a crappy pair of headphones I got free with a phone about 3 years ago... Think it's time I treat myself
I most definitely would Kieran, it makes a massive difference 😎🎧👍🏻

D J Baz thanks Baz, What ones don’t you use? 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ numark but just getting some jvc rx 300. Cheap and cheerful but over ear. Lol.
What ones don’t you use? I Remember back in the 70's. A lot of DJ's used the old telephone type lol. Never had one of them.
binbagful the important thing is they do he job you want them too 😎🎧👍🏻
D J Baz when you say ‘old telephone type’ are you referring to the single earpiece with a cable on it they you just hold to your ear when you need to? 😎🎧👍🏻
all pioneer dj headphones with that similar design break at the same spot
Yep
How's the bass quality and loudness for listening electronic music
They are ok, but sennheiser HDK-X5 are the best I've ever had
So these x5's are not durable, since you said the broken ones are x5's.

Now you should invest in a hard case to protect them.
rock house On my third pair so possibly 😎🎧👍🏻
Just too make you aware, you’ve accidentally put HDL instead of HDJ, great vid tho 😂👍
Thanks updated 😎🎧👍🏻
Real Life DJ HJD now 😂😂😂
Trying to edit on a mobile is not that easy!! Sorted now 😎🎧👍🏻
Could someone who owns a pair please measure the diameter of the ear cups. Just trying to get an idea how big these headphones will be over my ears.
only just seen this, assume your sorted now!
First waaaaa
Now I'm watching it lol
But you have to watch it all for it to count! 😎🎧👍🏻

Hi from Brussels,
Which is better, this Pioneer X5 or a Marshall Major ii?
Is the cable detachable?
It’s for practicing guitar and playing along Celtic trad tunes for collaborations on a reasonable budget.
I don’t have the Marshall ones
@@RealLifeDJ Hi, I heard yesterday at a shop that the Marshal major 2 won't do the job. Apparently they are not blosed back.
Cheers
@@RealLifeDJ but according to some webpages they are closed back with low leakage.

depends as long as you have the right connection 3.5mm not Apple!
Sony is the worst brand for everything, they used to be the best in the 90s and early 2000s but are just rubbish now
Used the Pioneer headphones last night for the first time and they were great! 😎🎧👍🏻
👍🏻🎵😎

Not first lol
Dj funkymike lol you to quick
@@DjBriteEyes yes when on a day off lol
Dj funkymike lol
Did I hear that right 80 quid?
Yes £80 eighty pounds 😎🎧👍🏻
Mine fall apart after 4 months in the same position. Be aware, its not durable
I switched to HD25's without any issues
The x5,7 and 10 all have replaceable parts
Would be interesting to see if I could get the bracelet bit that snapped on my old pair! It was where the actual earphone attaches to the main band! 😎🎧👍🏻
