Old school anime is the BEST. I miss watching anime all day and remember watching Patlabor. The early anime had some of the best theme and ending music and I would rewind my VHS copy and rewatch the OVA just to hear this catchy song again and again. I'm an old fart now, but when I hear anime music from these classic shows and OVAs from the 1980s and 1990s, my mind is instantly transported back to those simple days of watching anime with no subtitles, being young, carefree, excited and happy. Please take me back!. .
I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad I think I can function if we match our heartbeats You and I are futuristic technicians of love We love greatly, quickly, and with abandon Even the texture of your metal body Feels hot to the touch, and it’s becoming a habit In a dimension beyond any rough imagination This feeling that comes out, ah, defying gravity Don’t stop it I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad If we connect our hearts it sparks, the voltage goes up You and I are futuristic technicians of love We connect and pull apart freely; nothing’s impossible The real world wildly spinning around you Transcend it lightly, and take me along We cannot determine when our next warp will be You’re my lover, ah, one hundred years too early I’m in love with you I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad I think I can function if we match our heartbeats You and I are futuristic technicians of love We love greatly, quickly, and with abandon I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad If you hug me close, Alphonse who cuts with a flash You and I are futuristic technicians of love The skies, the seas, today and tomorrow; nothing’s impossible
The black hair scene was animated by Hiroyuki Kitakubo, who was a slow worker and took a very long time on his scene. In addition, he apparently didn't reference the character designs while animating. www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/41768 I don't know anything beyond that, but both of these things could've been factors.
maybe it was just because the animators thought her hair would look like that if the sun shines on them. Or she died her hair before the OVA started and this was natural color
The reason for the different hair color is that they were produced at different times. When this opening was produced, manga artist Masami Yuki designed Noaki, so her hair is black. The official character design was decided after the opening was completed, which is why it differs from the main story. From a Japanese fan
Since some anime like Fruits Basket is getting a remake, I would Like to see what Patlabor would look like with modern animation. But the clincher is, I think the hand drawn era while prone to more mistakes as a lot more character and personality then a lot of the seemingly pre-canned animation of these days.
I would agree. Hand drawn has this sort of charm to it. The 80s really were the golden age of animation in general. Some of the most impressive animation I can think of comes from around this era. If you want to see a little hint of what a new Patlabor may look like, go searching for the somewhat new clip that was teased. It was a few years ago from what I remember.
BladeLigerV there was that short Paltabor Reboot which was released in 2016. It was more of next generation, rather than remake. Nevertheless, it was good and still waiting to hear some good news to come.
@@extraleague01 Yes, that was it. I know the live-action show "The Next Generation: Patlabor" was pretty similar in that it was based after the movies, but the characters shown in this little "trailer" were brand new. Almost just genderbent versions of the characters we all know and love. Has there been any news about it since then at all? I remember "Patlabor EZY" and have seen ads for it in Japan, but I'm unsure if that is a different project or not. Haven't looked into it.
I don't think that remake is necessary. It's already masterpiece for everyone who'll find it. Besides, nowadays, 3D is much cheaper, it'll just ruin the whole atmosphere of this anime. And I doubt that most of anime-community will get used to such titles. Modern generation will mostly attach to some PR'd franchises, instead of these good created animated movies. I'm sure it'll be interesting for those who's looking for some good titles. Especially in handmade animations.
I don't believe so, I wasn't able to find a lot of Patlabor songs on Spotify awhile ago. If they are on there, they may be region blocked. Spotify does that for some reason.
You really threw a wrench into my works If I can get my heartbeat under control, I think I'll make it We're futurists, you and me; technicians of love Higher, faster, I'll love you if I want to I think I'll get to like The way I get flushed at the touch of your metal body Oh, don't stop this gravity-defying feeling That goes way beyond mere imagination You really threw a wrench into my works When I hold him tight, my Alphonse can do anything We're futurists, you and me; technicians of love Anytime, anywhere, nothing's impossible Nothing's impossible
It's literally a love song to her Labor and it makes me so happy
youtubeでたくさんの"Miraiha Lovers"を聞きましたが、これが一番高音質に聞こえます
同感です
この動画が飛びぬけて音質が良いですね

Idk why... but this song (and the anime) makes me smile so much
I love Patlabor! One of my favs from the era of MECHA!
I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad
I think I can function if we match our heartbeats
You and I are futuristic technicians of love
We love greatly, quickly, and with abandon
Even the texture of your metal body
Feels hot to the touch, and it’s becoming a habit
In a dimension beyond any rough imagination
This feeling that comes out, ah, defying gravity
Don’t stop it
I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad
If we connect our hearts it sparks, the voltage goes up
You and I are futuristic technicians of love
We connect and pull apart freely; nothing’s impossible
The real world wildly spinning around you
Transcend it lightly, and take me along
We cannot determine when our next warp will be
You’re my lover, ah, one hundred years too early
I’m in love with you
I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad
I think I can function if we match our heartbeats
You and I are futuristic technicians of love
We love greatly, quickly, and with abandon
I’m so crazy about you, I’m going mad
If you hug me close, Alphonse who cuts with a flash
You and I are futuristic technicians of love
The skies, the seas, today and tomorrow; nothing’s impossible
When she said "METARUUU, BODII NO" I felt that
So happy-go-lucky. Love it!

The strings give me Bill Lee vibes. Bill Lee died earlier this year sadly, so it makes me tear up to hear it like that. It's so good.

懐かしい中学のとき近所のレンタルビデオで借りて観たな。
After 30 years I still don't understand why are there two hair colours in one OP.

@@ultraplethora210 lol that's interesting. Thanks for the info
What? I always thought the darker hair was from the sweat!

OVAのこのOP曲が明るくて軽快で本来のパトレイバーにイメージにピッタリだと思うわ
사랑의 테크니션~

A new series is in development called 'Patlabor ezy'

God this is _such_ an eighties song
wow!...
A song for Alphonse III.
who sings this?
Hiroko Kasahara
このアニメ、面白い
Is this song on Spotify? I'm having trouble finding it

Is this on spotify
Unfortunately no, most Patlabor stuff isn't. Real shame.
lyrics...
You really threw a wrench into my works
If I can get my heartbeat under control, I think I'll make it
We're futurists, you and me; technicians of love
Higher, faster, I'll love you if I want to
I think I'll get to like
The way I get flushed at the touch of your metal body
Oh, don't stop this gravity-defying feeling
That goes way beyond mere imagination
You really threw a wrench into my works
When I hold him tight, my Alphonse can do anything
We're futurists, you and me; technicians of love
Anytime, anywhere, nothing's impossible
Nothing's impossible
ヘンタイです!ヘンタイが居ます!
そして、ヘンタイ萌えのオラがいっぞ!
It looks like it was inspired by Chinese traditional music style
I really think that .
