  • Lying on a hill in Vicenza, CASA C wants to praise every space of the house through a very specific and targeted view of the spectacular surrounding landscape.
The main concept of this project was to relate the internal environments with the external environments. The architects thought of highlighting the horizontality through lowered loggias creating cuts in the landscape. The loggia in the kitchen and dining area has a special relationship with the water in the pool: it attaches to the loggia creating a connection of light reflections, projecting vibrations onto the floor and ceiling, making the natural materials more effective. The various lowered loggias are also recalled at the entrance, in the fireplace area and in the study, precisely to create places of mediation between the internal living space and the extended dimension of the landscape.
The materials used have been carefully chosen to create a modern yet welcoming style, achieving the goal of creating a timeless home. A single floor in Pietra Serena characterizes all the rooms, not only the internal ones but also the external ones to give a sense of continuity, also favored by the recessed windows that create very specific windows on the landscape.
The walls of the villa have three main colors: the white plaster walls, the lava stone wall that accompanies the swimming pool and the Avignon stone wall that follows the path towards the entrance of the modern villa.
The character of this house is immediately felt as soon as you enter each room that enjoys the relationship with the landscape and the seasons. This is perceived not only by the colors but also by the shades of light entering through the openings.
