Historical fact: The trumpet player on this recording is the late Freddie Hubbard, one of Jeff Lorber's earliest employers as well as one of the most respected and influential musicians in the post-Bebop Jazz era.
Incredible artist. He has worked with the best in the business.
Those hip hop producers in the 90's sampling these tracks helped introduce me and so many people to these cuts, much respect to them!
Very crisp sound like a live studio recording! Beautiful song request & great reaction.🎶🎧🎶
Once upon a time..Kenny G was a member of Jeff Lorber Fusion
definite got to his song "Facts Of Lovc" That introduced the world to Karyn White
Yep! Great submission. Now you know from whence it comes❣️❣️❣️ So many hip-hop artists and producers with great taste in music to use as samples.
Excellent request and reaction 😎 Haven't heard this in a while!!!!
Jeff Lorber is a jazz great. Check out Think back and remember ft George Johnson (Brothers Johnson).

SWV Love Like This
I think it’s amazing how rappers stepped way out the box when using sampled beats…the artists they sample come from ALL genres of music. Just goes to show how music crosses all boundaries. Like, how in the world did Diddy find this gem to pen Lil Kim classic Crush on You? The two genres are so far apart 🤷🏽♀️
It's not a coincidence that the golden age of Hip Hop was heavily influenced by these Jazz fusion tracks.
and some jazz artists were really open towards early hip hop. There were several projects/collaborations in the 80s. That all seems so sweet and innocent to me now.
🙏🏾❤️☮️💪🏾💯
Jeff is a good keyboard player. I really like some of his tracks, some of my favs are:
Tune 88
Water Sign
Fusion Juice
Wizard Island
Toad's Place
City
🔥
This is a good song, but Full Moon Rising is one of his best songs. An all time favorite for me.
Dude, go check out the track "Galaxian" right now!
