Glad the magnacut held up! I really love the titanium version of this knife and the Model 2 by ABW. Seeing this perform well is a good sign, hopefully your endeavor in adding thumbstuds and strengthening the detent pays off! That would definitely put this one over the top for most people.
I’d like to try the titanium version and the model 2. I tried messing with the detent without much luck
@@doodysdaggers yeah I’ve flipped the titanium model 1 and it was a really good example and felt amazing. The model 2 is next on my list but from what I see from other’s experiences it looks to be an amazing knife… but it needs a “set of tits” as some unnamed person so eloquently put it.

I’m bummed to hear about the action on yours. I have a model 2 and it’s snappy as all hell. To the point I glued my pivot to keep it in haha. If u bend that lock bar I bet it’ll help it a lot
Tried that, it made the lockup like over 50% and didn’t stiffen the detent very much so I put it back
@@doodysdaggers man that’s disappointing. Is it one of his older versions? Cus he seemed to have that light detent issue figured out.

A little redemption there. Amazing what well done steel and good geometry can do for an otherwise ‘meh’ knife.
Would a fuller on that knife work for a reverse flick looks like there is room,unusual for a flipper knife

@tacticalcenter8658 I chipped off my tip on my magnacut stropping it on carbonfiber, but it's was thin so I cleaned it off and it is a stronger poker... s35vn compressed in, within the edge
@@tacticalcenter8658 I was stropping in a good motion for burs because the carbon fiber is feather light, and the tip tinged and I was like NOOOOOOO!!! LOL I fixed it though with my blademedic hehehe
I was really comfortable when I was stropping that I gave the blade too much confidence since I thought it was a self defense knife... .. it is way better now.. it poked boxes with no problem to try it out.. I have a Kwaiken stubby s35vn that goes dull after cardboard and it pisses me off because I am all about the money
Did better than I thought it would. Not a fan of the looks of it though
