we stopped frothing milk with our machines built-in steam frother and now use a small battery wisk... the quality of foam is the same and it is much (very much) easier!!! there is also much (very much) less clean up involved... i mean, we use to spend more time cleaning the milk frother than we did sipping coffee :)
Amanda S Yes of course, the only bad thing about electric frother is the inability to heat the milk -except expensive ones like Aeroccino-. But it gives very nice results! Have a nice coffee 🌸
Good video, it helped immensely keeping the frother just below the surface. Now to figure out why there’s no water coming from the espresso maker portion...
Do you use the original Portafilter that came with the machine or did you do the non-pressurized modification that everyone does? That espresso looks great, so I’m curious. Also, what kind of beans and grinder/settings do you use?
Actually in this video i used the original portafilter, it gives a very good results if you use the proper grind. And im using here a pre packaged filter coffee grounds NOT ESPRESSO GROUND. It will give you the best result
Todd Emery Sorry for late reply, In this video i was using the full cream milk, but I got a very nice results with the skimmed too. The skimmed milk is higher in Proteins so its getting frothed easier and last longer but u have to practice. I'm happy that you liked the video💐
Buy filter ground coffee not espresso ground, I had the same problem with illy espresso. Now i use filter grounds but i put them in illy jar (it has a good seal)
Yes you should turn the knob all the way but keet the steam tip just below the surface of the milk, you will shortly get some froth, keep it just below the surface of the foam untill you get the desire amount of foam. And please don't ever use milk that contains milk powder.
@@flubbad2 I'm using 2% ang get hot milk, no foam. Is the frothing picture tilted slightly or straight upright? Is the wand in the center or off to the side of the pitcher?

I hope you had a good coffee 👌
This looks great. I'm using skim milk with my EC155, and having trouble getting it to thicken. What kind of milk do you use in this video? Thanks!

I use 2% and all i get is hot milk. Do you turn the steam knob on all the way or just a little?

With the auto-frother in this machine you don't have to put it in the center, but yes you should tilt the pitcher.
Just at tip y’all always steam the milk first otherwise your shots going to die = turn bitter and dark
I was thinking the same thing!
