I actually know someone that didn't know she was pregnant until she was in labor. I joked with her 2 weeks before she was pregnant and she said nope. The reason I thought maybe was she kept having heart burn. And I get a message asking if I could come into work because out coworker had gone to the emergency room. And a few hours later we are all being told she had a baby. I immediately went to see her and called the baby hotdog.
how can someone not know they’re pregnant. All of a sudden they gain weight and develop a huge stomach, and miss their period 9 times? Somebody who doesn’t notice that must have no brain at all 😂😂😂
@@leah1130- she actually had a very irregular cycle typically. And what happened during her pregnancy was typical for her. She didn't gain much weight at all. All of us were completely shocked. And I thought maybe she was a couple months based her saying she has heart burn but she said had just finished her cycle the week before so there was no way. Worked with about 20 women and of course all the moms. We worked in childcare so not an idiot. Just her itregular cycle and not much if any weight gain. The last week she had some back pain which is why she went to the hospital because it got unbearable. Backpack and heartburn were her only pregnancy symptoms. We still [12 years later] joke about her "hotdog pregnancy" it was her second pregnancy too. Now the first one she knew the first 6 weeks. And had no bleeding through entire pregnancy and had a LOT a pregnancy symptoms. After the surprise baby she took a test every 8 weeks just to double check since she learned from that experience. I would have thought idiot too had I not worked with her at least twice a week for 3 years.

The same story Josh says about how gruesome we look during a c-section is true. My husband told me the same thing and idk I didn’t believe 100% what he said but now I do cause Josh said the exact same thing.

I had three c-sections so yeah I know what you mean about the feeling of not being able to move your legs or feel them it was just a very odd feeling the first time around I was very nervous. And just so much pain when you come home you know you don't realize how much you use your stomach muscles for everything but by the third one I was up and around moving which I probably push myself a little bit too much but I was like you know I went through this twice before I got this ,anyway love you guys

My husband picked out our son’s name, which I wasn’t crazy about. He named him after a dear older friend. I refused to call him by that name for the first few days. I just called him the baby. I finally got used to it. He’s now 41 years old and his name is Coy. Love your podcasts. Josh, don’t tell Abby I said so, but you are funnier. 😂

I was actually almost 5 months pregnant and never knew it until I was hospitalized for an autoimmune disease and I was in a coma so my parents were the first people to know I was pregnant! When I woke up I was shocked with the news. I was pregnant with my son Bentley! Craziness! I love y’all’s podcasts and videos! They make my week!♥️

I listened to the podcast via spotify and I was laughing while I was in my morning walk with my kids. Abbie & Josh are hilarious!! I love them, and I had C-section twice. We had a baby girl two yrs ago then a baby boy few months ago. So I feel you Abbie! 🤍 And if Josh likes viking names, I literally love the names Ivar, Ragnar, Floki, Bjorn from The Vikings!!

Pro tip: acuponcture is very good for baby to turn. Very high percentage of success. I would have done/tried the inversion too.
Abbie, They pushed in my tummy after having both our littles and I gave birth naturally and it was super painful each time they squish you! I just pray for another wonderful experience and healthy baby boy!!🤍🤍🤍🤍

My son is Maverick & my daughter is Remington. Thank you for not saying emergency csection, it was planned just days early. My daughter was transverse but I already had a csection planned because my son was born emergency csection after 18 hours of labor (after water broke), I only dilated 5cm. With my daughter’s csection I also felt nauseous and my anesthesiologist gave me medicine through my IV until it subsided. They push on your stomach either way vaginal or csection lol.

I had an emergency c section under sedation. I only had a bit of the anesthesia left in my system when they did the belly rubs. I couldn't have pain meds right away and I don't remember why, maybe the emergency scenario I had? Anyway, that was literally THE most painful thing I've ever experienced. To the point where everything recovery related was so easy. Thank God I learned breathing exercises so I managed to get through it, and was complemented from the nurse about it. I can't imagine an unmedicated vaginal birth being any worse than that, tbh

Not sure if you will have a vbac Abbie, but if your little boy ends up being transverse I highly recommend trying spinning babies! I spent from 28-36 weeks pregnant being upside down and on a exercise ball 😅 but my baby did finally flip head down at 36 weeks!
I was with my sister for her first c-section. At the end I peeked past the curtain (didn't know you're not supposed to do that). I think I was in a bit of shock. They had started sewing but her uterus was still partially out. I said, when are you going to put that back? Then he went ahead and started pointing out organs and everything. Then explained what he was doing. It was interesting, but I was surprised how much I could see.
I had that same feeling when they put the spinal in with our youngest daughter. I panicked because I felt like I wasn't breathing, and it's one of my biggest fears. Our first daughter was totally breach, and they couldn't get the epidural to work, so they put me under general anesthesia. They let my husband come in the room still. He said my eyes were taped shut and everything was outside of me instead of in. It freaked him out. He did get some great pictures of me all opened up.
My mom also bled when she was pregnant with me (oldest) and she still doesn't know why, I came out fine
It could’ve been she had a fibrile cervix. Just means it’s very irritable and prone to inflammation from having sex or getting examined. Same thing happened to me

I have 3 boys. Tip for diaper changes is to have a small basket with some baby wash cloths in there. Usually, as soon as air hits their diaper area, they will pee. So pull the diaper back a bit, then immediately hold it back over him because that is when he will pee, and that way he is peeing into the dirty diaper. Then, pull the diaper open and immediately throw a wash cloth to cover the boy part. Because if he didn't pee yet, he will now. Wipe the butt and the boy part last. If the wash cloth gets dirty just throw in dirty clothes, if he didn't pee on it, you can use it for next time. After so may boys, I came down with this system by the time I had a 3rd boy. (If you are out and about, you can use a wipe instead of a wash cloth if you don't have one handy) Good Luck!!!
Babies can turn during labor 💕 I’d always get a second opinions! I literally gave birth to a sunny side up baby. Brutal labor. But she came out!
If you're using the same OB doctor as before, they'll prob tell you you'll need another c-section. I would agree with other comments to get a second opinion bc you can absolutely have a VBAC! Congrats on having a boy also!!!! 💙💙💙 The gender reveal was an adorable idea! I love gender neutral names and one I love of Finley.
Yes I switched docs because they told me I’d have to have another c section. now I have had two amazing vbacs ❤ Now pregnant with my 4th and doing natural birth again. Def switch doctors!

I had a boy. The deal with my husband was he choose the first name and a choose the second, so it was fair. Jordan Andre is the name of my baby. I think is a good name for your boy could be Ezra or Noah
