LSU head coach Dale Brown talks about the honesty, integrity, and qualities of Shaquille O'Neal, and Phillip Harrison, the father of Shaquille, talks about the value of education. Then Shaquille O'Neal talks about the value of managing his money
Shaq's step father raised him right. He made the decision on when Shaq went to the NBA not Shaq. and Shaq had multi million dollar contracts waved in front of him probably the second he left high school. This is why he's always been able to handle the frankly ridiculous exposure he had in his early career. He's lucky his mother found that man.
be careful the sjw's and feminists would find your statement sexist and report your comment. can't u see it now? " what do u mean she was lucky that she found that man "
I believe he found them base on Shaq interview with Graham Bensinger

I was just thinking, I was born in 1961 it was great growing up in the 70's, my Father was in the Air Force, he went to work my Mom took care of the house, us and cooked for the family. There were no metal detectors at school, the divorce rate wasn't 52% and even though guys had long hair nobody was confused as to what gender they were.
Study what the agenda of the feminist movement was and is, find out about
Planned Parenthood, find out why Welfare didn't do what was intended and then maybe people will understand how we got to such a sick place in America and the world.
I like that he doesn't call him step father out of respect. He calls him father, his biological doesn't deserve the title. If it wasn't for his dad, he wouldn't be the person he is today. Not a basketball fan, but I am a fan of Shaq.
His stepfather was west Indian. Jamaican to be exact. West Indian men raise their children and do it correctly.
You can’t help but admire Shaq’s family and how they raised him. What a blessing to have family like that.
0:33 where Shaq got his soft spoken demeanor
So respectful
A great example of a good
Man for young people
I love him
This video is underrated when it comes to how much sense Sarge made Shaq the businessman he is today. There is not a day that goes by where you don’t see Shaq on TV or buying something he isn’t involved in. Much respect SARGE!! You raised a good one!!
RIP Phillip Harrison
He's a wonderful person.
Just hearing stories told by Shaq about his Pop makes me want to be a better man. I been following Shaq since I was a kid.
He raised him right.
Yo I was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston and the pleasure of being under Ssgt. Phil Harrison and he was the coolest. When I first met him and reported in he had a picture of Shaquille hanging behind his desk and he saw me kept looking at it but mind you it was 1990 and right before college basketball 🏀 explosion on the scene with ESPN. So it was a picture of Shaquille dunking a ball in just a purple uniform and which must have been his practice uniform. So sarge says what you looking at? I say I don’t know? He jumps up and sarge himself is like “6’5 and says you don’t know who my son is? And I say no. He says you don’t know who Shaquille O’Neal is? I say nope! He was like boy you don’t know basketball 🏀! I’m like oh yes I do and I’m from Harrisburg Pennsylvania and Billy Owens is king basketball have you heard of him? He was on the cover of Sports illustrated? He was the number one recruit in 88 and his brother Michael was the number one recruit at running back in 86 out of Carlisle Pa that they both went to Syracuse. Then went on to mention that Ricky Waters was the Nations highest recruit out Harrisburg in 87 and that Pennsylvania was the king of college sports. We had a good laugh about this.
Hell yea that's awesome. Im from York Pennsylvania.
@@curiousclutch5888 Shout out to Sgt. Harrison!!! Was stationed at Ft. Sam, but it was 6 years later. But I did meet Sammie Morris's mom's though. She was good people!
❤❤❤❤ the sarge what a legend. What a great man. 🫡🫡🫡 Rest in peace.
Shaq is what he is today because of his father
Step father
@@NevaSellmySoul yeah he should have said dad. Everyone can Be a father but not dad.
@@holymacarenafin2319 that's his stepfather not his "dad" u clueless bozo
Shit Shaq almost looks like his step dad
Looks and sounds. That’s crazy that’s not his biological.
@@WonkaBiz It's all about how you are raised in your home, you know?
He does
Needs alot more views!
His father is awesome.
Shaqs step father is a really good father
“I don’t do drugs, or alcohol” -shaq
That was because of his step dad
Sarge
I know this is a focus in the black community because of the last two decades; but all children need their dads.
Sometimes it’s not always your biological father, but every child needs a male mentor. God bless the military for making many of them.
Shaq as cute lil kid, time flies
Shout out to the Sarge!
Shaq speaks with his dads cadence
❤️
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Shaw dad look like a version of Birdman
''he has no ego'' I stopped there.
Back then he didnt
Hadn't proved himself yet. He might be a little cocky now but he earned the right to be cocky since he's one of the greatest to have ever played.
Thats Dale Brown, LSU's head coach talking here. I'm sure Shaq didn't talk back to his coaches, based on his father's upbringing.
Shaq came up poor, that's why he's so giving
This is the Shaquille I remember. Not was he is now.
They had newspaper clippings all over our school after he single handedly handed us an L at the state championships...that's literally what the newspaper said.
Have they done a DNA test??? It's been 44 years since he has seen his son, Shaq.
That's his stepdad but he calls him his real father out of respect
How easy ppl get to conclusions buffle me
my left ear felt that
