Shaq handle it with care and also he’s intelligent and psychologically inclined.
Good point.
I have 7 siblings and our biological mother and father married before all of us were born and he passed away 30 yrs into their marriage in 2001. Our parents raised us under 1 roof. (I say all of this to express that my father wasn't an absent father attempting to defend a fellow absent father).
When Shaq was a younger man and stubborn, not wanting to meet his biological father, I recall my father saying if Shaq lived long enough to become wiser, he'll want to meet his father despite what occurred in the past...my father continued to say and if Shaq still has money, he should also be willing to give some to his father.
I was a teenager at the time and asked, "why?"
My father explained that the longer a person lives, their life experiences will bring them to become more empathetic to others.
As for why he should give him money, my father said had it not been for the combined genetics of both biological parents, Shaq wouldn't have the physical stature that has him making the money he's making.
Edit: to add to that, as a 44-yr old man today with a wife of 16 yrs and 3 children, I think it's also a great idea to meet your biological parents to learn of family medical history (mental and physical) that you may otherwise be oblivious to.
Shaq most likely is the smartest basketball player to ever exist. Dude is super smart and empathetic. One of the world's greatest people, that many do not notice or appreciate.
Protect him at all cost!
I think he has a degree in business
@@gregkicks5172 he has a doctorate in education (Ed.D)
That's Dr. Shaq to you.
???? lol
Don’t know the history, but Shaq biological father staying out his life must’ve been the best he could’ve ever sacrificed for his son, Shaq got an opportunity to live a path that will go as a legendary career, thanks to his true father that raised him
I'm proud that Shaq reunited with his real father. That is sweet that he met his real father.
Biological. Not real.
@@charliechuckles8031 If you think that then you must be a child as you obviously have no understanding of what makes a 'real' father.
@@CCCoNeTiMe you mean that is his real father but Phillip Harris was just his father figure not his real father
@@orangy4189 *Biological
@@charliechuckles8031 Then fatherhood is meaningless
Man shaq is just a big humble great man 🙏✌️
@@arthurthompson7877 I agree but I think he is a great guy.
His a legend. Everytime he goes shopping he always buys someone something
@@arthurthompson7877 he’s not humble in basketball but off the court he is so you gotta respect. Most people from his era of ball too weren’t giving eachother hugs after the game like they do now
@@arthurthompson7877 off the court he’s actually very humble
Humble? Not the slightest. He's a giant. Everyone he encounters falls into a submissive psychology, so he has no need to display his dominance. Dont confuse that with humble lol. He is an animal.
It’s a two way street- each parent has a past & its “His Parents Thing” Shaq respects that👍🏼 Excellent Healing For Shaq🙏🏼
SHAQ IS AMAZING! AN EXTENSION OF HIS MOTHER AND FATHER WHOM RAISED HIM!!!
WE ALL ARE QUICK TO JUDGE AND I
LOVE HOW HE EMPHASIZES I DON'T JUDGE!!
SHAQ YOU R TRULY A "LIMITED EDITION!"
You can still see and feel the hurt Shaquille carries but it takes a big man no pun intended to forgive something like that.
Shaq I sit and read stories of such joy and love you give to people. I want to say thank you for being the kind soul you are
Actually the reason why the chef started crying was because the restaurant was all you can eat
Hahaha hilarious!
Loool
Bruhhhh I can't 😂😂😂😂✋
U r pathetic, it’s very private and emotional thing
lmao
I love Shaq. What a role model, father, and example.
He's super gentle not counting those three years in LA WHERE they went back to back to back!!
Big lesson for all deadbeat dad's,you can't reap where you didn't sow.
He is a super hero in my eyes 👀, thank you Shaq :)
Its funny because when I see them both together, all that I can remember is them playing in Scary Movie 4.
Remember… this is older Shaq. Younger Shaq dissed him on record.
What does this have to do with anything? Besides show that people can grow, like i don't understand your intent with the comment, so what he dissed him, he handled it flawlessly when he needed to.
@@silphyinsertname5601 That’s the point. GTFOH trying to come for me.
@@silphyinsertname5601 it has a lot to do with everything….we all mature…well most of us, and sometimes only time can heal deep wounds.
@@SDSOverfiend it did sound like you were trying to dismiss the later version of Shaq. 🤷🏾♀️ To each their own opinion.
Both me and my grandma attempted contact with our biological fathers, both of them denied us and refused to admit their fatherhood.
Let me guess, you are not white
@@sbtopjosh7841 Nope, I'm a white Australian, and my grandma is a white German immigrant.
@@gabrieldettmannb4509 i just it's issue from ww2
@@sbtopjosh7841 I think its actually more common for white parents to act this way when they've abandoned their kids because it's considered a more shameful act and less common in the white community. They don't want you around reminding them of their shortcomings.
@@daviddufresne343 That makes perfect sense...to a child.
Wonderful and respectful
Shaquille O Neal’s attitude and perspectives and mannerisms in life are who I aspire to be
And as I aspired, I am now everyone’s favorite person at my school.
I wish that Shaquille or Phil could help me, Im a father... Parental alienation for 33 & 26 years has destroyed me and my daughters.... This pain has been AGONIZING...
Congratulations Shaq, but be careful with those who abandoned you when you needed them most.
He has nothing to worry about as he said he now lives up there. (With god)
Thanks for all of you for coming to my ted talk
2:40 The look on her face: "AND‼️"
Shaq and Phil
I didn't expect this
Man, Shaq was so smart on the way he handled this
Shaq is a class act . Keep it 💯
Shaq is one in a billion
Signs of growth as a man. I hated my father, for great reasons but now as a grown man I’d be open arms for him, even though he ditched me from birth. I’m grown now and wouldn’t mind hanging out and getting to know him.
That's why Shaq is my fav athlete. He is big but his brain 🧠 is even better. His intellect is way better than normal being
Shaq should talk about the evolution of coming to this place bc before he didn't want his biological father in his life. THE GROWTH IS MARVELOUS
Bravo shaq...
shaq is wise he is not brute strength but has wisdom few people achieves what shaq has done for so many years and baaketball players rodman never ever make acuantance to his father
Think he’s handling it like he should
“Just hit the daamn basket!!” 😂
The lady’s comment at the end is puzzling.
God is Good 🙏🏾💯👌🏾
Shaq the man period
“OH MY GOD!”
“What?”
“Wrong foot”
“MOTHER-…”
I thought he was talking to him at the start. also why are there only 8 comments
Two years is a long time and he didn’t rush his family she completely contradicted her whole comment 😂
Me myself, I didn't miss any of my childrens games. I can't believe his father didn't go to any of his games
I’m crying
I’m sorry when I see this All I see is scary movie 3 dr Phil and Shaq being on saw 🤣🤣
The cuts make it hard to watch
1.5 million views and 17 comments wow
Where is the full interview
Shaq woulda been those dudes violatin at county 😂😂
First scene of Scary Movie 4.
If Shaq's got your back, you're covered man
That lady looks so sad without saying anything.
It was after this interview that they were kidnapped to play a game.
The first 60 seconds of scary movie 4 isn’t doing a movie with somebody lol
1.5 Million views and only 3 comments...
UA-cam been deleting comments!!
It happens to

If it’s not for the lgbt or pg it mostly gets deleted
There's no comments...
Just doing my part to increase comments.
Not sure why Shaq is doing an interview with an electrician…
Shaq is a good dude
Scary movie 4 anybody 😂😂😂
Me
Sometimes when a parent abandons a child, it is the child who must parent the parent when they meet later in life.
Don't abandon your damn kids. Find a way!
If he got locked up how did he abandon him.
Jay Z needs to read that page of Shaquille book. Build a relationship with ALL your Kids and parents get to know them. Life is short.
😂😂 He has other kids?
@@Kind20233 no, but he takes about healing and accepting your responsibility.
How tall is is father?
6 ft 1 inch. Actually a bit shorter than Shaq's mom.
Shaquille O’Neal.... ENOUGH SAID............
Err yes well said 👏.
My respect for him 👏 🙌
He's cool
❤️👏🏾
But Shaq made a whole rap video dissing his father 🤔
How long ago was that? Cmon man
Yeah 27 years ago.
yeah, I was thinking about that; I was working at a Musicland/ Sam Goody store when it came out and remember it well ...
Of course somebody who never take care you for most of your life. If was me I will never even bothering to talk to him
Love your father.
I guess both of them survived after Phil cut off his wrong foot somehow.
Why are there only 45 comments
Why nobody asked him how big he was?
So they did make it out of that dungeon that the Jigsaws put them in.
Can you help me find my biological father?
Did you ever find him? And what did you need?
I'm here
Biological does not necessarily indicate Real. Real means actual
Are, existence, actionable. In my opinion, his real father is the actual man who was in his life to nurture, worry over, cry over, teach, discipline and Love. That is that man who was there in his life. Thanks for the biology, but biology does not the loving, caring, successful, gentle, respectful man make.🌹💞❤💜💛
Don’t judge anyone even disabled people please
Instead of it, love them,
I always think that people who biological parent wasn't in their life they really feel they are missing something. It shows with not only Shaq. I am not Shaq and others who missed out on not have one of both of their biological parents in their life. I know people who didn't have their biological parent(s) in their life. I have to say, I always wanted to have a child and wanted to adopt a child. I've seen when that child wanted to be with their biological parent and how it hurt the parent that was that was raising that child as their own. I have to say, I know I would make it about me. There was no way I would adopt a child, because that would've hurt me to the core. As I stated, it is something that the child feels their missing. I call it a hole that in some cases can't be filled. I know I would feel hurt instead of understanding how the child/adult child may feel. I would think I was dishonored and/or disrespected as a parent. Yes, I would see myself as that child's parent as if I gave birth to that child. I wonder if Shaq thought about what his father that raised him would think. I personally feel who love, raise you, are the for everything or most things with you is the parent. A parent doesn't have to be blood related. Again, it's easy for me to say. I have to say I wondered if someone came in my life and claimed to be my biological father how would I feel and react. I know me and the person who raised me would be my father and I wouldn't want any dealings with that person. I would be respectful, no doubt. I know me and know I wouldn't be interested and would never disrespect the father that raised me. If Shaq wasn't who he is, would his biological father want to get to know him or want to be in his life? Shaq mother knows her, so maybe she feels that is what Shaq need or want. Why didn't she want Shaq to meet him when her husband was alive?
Whys that girl look soooo mad lmao
Seems we are related to 😘
Can you help me find my biological father
BRO SHAQ IS A MAN
My only question is shaqs father as big as him?
I am a fan bro please stop
I don't know how Dr Phil still respects Shaq after he tricked him into cutting his foot off first
why no comments
before that, the comment section was disabled
Because his biological didn’t bother
Shaq story change. He did not care about the man.
Shak why did you make fun of a disabled man
Dude cries everytime he sees his son.. he probably thiking damn that's my son
That was the dad’s friend.
Man missed out on so many blessings not being there for his son
Really
Yeah people tend to have far too Many opinions and comments.
Keep it this way loo
Jesus bless
Phil I my father,biological didn't bother
White lady rushed her Opinion
People still listen to Dr. Phil ?
gelo
urang sunda aing
Wait I’m confused he starts it by saying his father is dead and that his fathers best friend is a chef. Then it sounds like he met his father?
When he says his father lives upstairs he meant living quarters on the second floor above the restaurant. I thought he meant he was deceased for a second too
Why are they so big??!
Ayo
Hello?
first
Biologícal didn’t bother
I don't judge you for having a forehead or a hairline.
