For the first exercise the Devil card came up for me and I can't explain how much it resonates with me atm. I've always had a good relationship with the Devil card but lately I think he's been trying to push me to be more free. Free from societal norms, my inner demons, financial situations etc. You know how it is. So thanks for this suggestion since finally sitting down and having a conversation with this card felt better than it showing up and me closing my ears, not thinking on it much and putting it back in the deck.
I'm so happy this deck's gone mass market through Rockpool. Getting the indie version over here would have been so expensive and now this beautiful deck is available and accessible for me and so many other people.
I love this deck too! I have the mass market version and the minute I did a deck interview, I knew it would be a long time keeper. It straight up told me it wasn't going to sugar coat anything, or take my shit. it's a straight talking, slap me round the face, and I love it for that. I know I'll get the answer I need, if not necessarily the answer I want and that is so important to have.
Hi Katie, How interesting it is to hear you speak about choosing to be with your person who represents this card ( the lovers) .....I totally agree....being grateful to share space with the person who you choose to spend your time with and choose to connect with on every level is such a gift...and should not be taken for granted at any time. I met my husband when I was 16 years old and I am now touching 53 years old and we are still happy and excited to be with each other. I have heard it all. You will never last, you met him when you just a kid, you will grow apart, you just wait and see. But lucky me..... I found a person who I have been able to grow with. I think a lot of the reasons we have been able to grow together, in our partnership, is the communication and respect. I once read .....Love is the key to marriage and Trust is the Lock.....gosh i love that saying.....I can see in your eyes and body language that you share that same excitement about the person you choose to be with at this stage in your life. There is not a day goes by that I don't appreciate how fortunate I am to be with someone who knows me so well and shares the values I have and also gives me the opportunity to grow and do me. Just seeing you light up when talking about this card....i know when doing future reading for myself and others that i will think of you when i see the lovers card and really connect with the choice part of the meanings. I believe I am going to purchase the Children of Litha deck, for I liked the way it had animal and humans both. I do love my animals, but I saw the value in having the human aspects too. And yes I now get it. I feel the buzz that the deck bring with it and I also love the guidebook. I am yet to start spending time with it. I love the Oriens Tarot and love this type of video - your Tarot in practice is so helpful thank you! I've gifted this deck twice! The guidebook is fantastic, and I always feel empowered.
Also, the mass market edition guidebook as information on each each animal at the start of chapter before it goes into the individual cards! Which is really helpful!
That is a beautiful deck. I'm ok with animal decks (unless there's insects), but I usually don't like dark colored decks. That one has enough bright colors that it wouldn't be as beautiful without the dark background. I loved that travel spread, too.
Totally aside. I wanted to thank you for a young adult book selection. Open Water by Caleb Azuman Nelson is so exquisite it defies my humble words. Open this book carefully . Take the time to breathe in the rhythm of its words. So beautiful.

I like a lot of the cards but some, like the 6 of Swords I think, don't make sense to me. I absolutely love The Star and The Lovers. I can relate to your current family situation. This has come on and off of my wishlist.... It is so beautiful, but I am not sure if I can connect with all of the animals in there and I probably cannot intuitively know why which animal is related to which card and would be heavily dependent on the guidebook .
