Wow amazing how to! High quality, good camera angles, music isn't too loud, and great commentary. The uniqueness of this video is how the reinstallation was shown. I've seen other videos just stop at disassembly and say repeat in reverse order so thanks Dmitry! Been using this on my S4 grill swap this weekend.
i would add that i used zip ties to fold the liner out of the way to get to that bolt into the bumper that is hard to get at and it made it so much easier that i only had to use one extension bar. as for the little plastic pop rivet i could not for the life of me to get them seated so did without in the end.
Took mine to a euro body shop for installation. They’re gonna repaint my bumper as well..get it back in a few days. I hope that parking sensor adjustment doesn’t make them not do it. Not sure if they’ll rig it for me!
I just did it - my 2nd mod to my car I’ve done after popping in an intake - took me abt 5 hrs but could probably do it in 2 hrs now. Down to answer any questions
@@nickdipietro3967 i basically took out a couple more screws than he did in the vid just to make it easier to pull back. you have to do both sides tho. once you get that one screw way back in there, its super easy and you dont rlly need to put that screw back in there lol. also dont need to raise your car to take off the wheels. but i highly recommend that swivel extension - only abt $10
Thanks Ian, I think it's worth it, but it is definitely a bit of work. Great time to do it would be if installing an intercooler. I tackled both at once which made things a lot more efficient.
Jonathan, its pretty straightforward :-) they really only fit one way, you just spin them 180 from how they sat in the OEM grille. The S4 badge (oem) wont fit on this grille on its own, but there are 3d printing files (and a guy who will print them) available on the forums. Ill shoot you a link if you need it. I personally have the car debadged except for the rings. Think its more fun when ppl think its nothing special and then their hellcat is far in my rear view (im on a big turbo though).
Chris I don't really recommend them due to some customer service issues, but enthusiast brands was the seller. You can also find these same exact units on aliexpress, ebay, etc... best bet is probably someone on ebay who has the product (confirmed in hand) in the US if you're in the US. Mine shipped from outside the US and as you saw I had to make some repairs. EDIT: Oh I guess I cut that part of the video, been a minute since I made it. But yea the thing came damaged and they didn't want to replace, had to acetone weld a piece to have all stuff engaging, you can see it when I'm installing it into the fascia on the right side of the screen where there is that green goup, that was some green abs melted in acetone that I used for the repair. You can't see it installed on the car, but still frustrating.
Hi, I'm Kris from Germany and I love this grill! Can I put it on my Audi A4 B9 even though it is a German version, are there any differences? My car is from 2015 but is also an Audi A4 B9. Why can't I put this grill on my car as well? Best regards
Have you experienced any issues with the grille parking sensors detecting random objects and beeping constantly? The parking sensors position on the new grille are at the bottom instead of the middle position how it was on the factory grille.
you dont necessarily have to remove the wheels to get access those screws in the wheel liner and bolt, I just turned my wheels all the way inwards for both sides instead of just removing them
You don't have to wrap it, but it will be quite visible behind the grille if you don't. I think there is also a cover of some kind you can get, i vaguely recall that from the forums. Doesn't have to be perfect.
Im pretty sure the rear emblem was from ebay. The grille is available everywhere (ebay, aliexpress, random websites). They’re all the same as far as I can tell. I would just buy from a vendor that has it available in your country. The vendor i used drop shipped from China and I had a bad experience with that, it arrived broken, wrong address, etc.. and vendor didnt really want to help much.
I don't think this is possible, they look similar but I believe all the dimensions are not the same. Even just swapping the lights out would be annoying, dealing with light control modules.
It should be the same on the A4. I recommend finding a US seller on eBay. I didn't like the company I got mine from, but if you want the exact link: www.enthusiastbrand.com/products/rs-honeycomb-front-grille-for-2017-2019-audi-a4-s4-rs4-b9-models-1?variant=39323132952749
Thank you so much for making this video. Fellow Texan here! Do you think its possible to use some black touch-up paint on the grey parking sensors or something else? I'm looking to install a grill on my b9 s4 and I'm nervous about doing everything right the first time. I would purchase the black sensors from the "black optics package" but they are expensive and may not play nicely with the electronics system.
Thanks for commenting and watching, always good to see fellow Texans! You could definitely paint the sensors. Someone on the forums even recommended this, but I haven't tried it: "Since your vehicle did not come with the Black Optics package, I'm sure you noticed that the parking sensors on your grille are a lighter gray color. You can use a bit of acetone or paint thinner and remove the light gray and have it to a black like the OEM Black Optics for a full OEM appearance."
Nice tutorial. I'm thinking about installing mine tomorrow. I've been holding on to it for a year and still haven't done it yet, lol. I've taken a few front bumpers off and done a grill on two Subarus so fairly familiar. How long did this end up taking you so I have a rough idea. Seems a little more involved than Subaru which is like, pull 12 push pins and rip bumper off.
Give yourself at solid afternoon so you’re not rushing. It can be done in under an hour if you’ve done it before, have all the tools, not distracted, etc… but on a first install give yourself time to work it out. Hidden screws at the wheel well are annoying depending on your extension selection. Plastic clips on the grille itself are scary to pry if you’re not used to doing this.

Thanks Mike! Glad you liked the video. Hope it makes your install easier. I try to capture as much of the process as possible.
the best 'how to' video covering this modification out there. well done and thank you!
I used this yday to replace my grill with the honeycomb version, extremely helpful video, I salute you sir 🤝, made something actually easy
absolutely love how you took your time to show us each detail. thanksss
Thank you :)
Exactly the video I needed to see, spot on, none of the bull or ego to get thru and straight to the point, nice one.
Glad you liked it :)
One of the best detailed videos on swapping the grill👍
best install video on youtube
Finally a video that’s straight forward! Just subscribed
your content is banging, cuz. thanks for all the hardwork.
Looks tedious.. But man!!! The end result speaks for itself!! Well Done, Dmitry..
Thanks! Yea it's a bit of a pain to do, but like you said worth it!

Hello , can you tell me from where you buy ?
Great how to. Love the way the front end looks!
Thanks Todd, I really like it too, plus I'm glad to have it back from the body shop finally!

do you have to take the fascia out of both wheels or just front driver?

Do you need to cut the crash bar or you just swap the sensor?
You dont need to cut the crash bar
Phew, quite the task I must say. But the result looks great.

Where did you buy the grill?
Can you elaborate on the switching of sensors? Do they go back in the reverse orientation?
What about the S4 badge, did you eventually swap that over?

@@DmitrysGarage yes. Please text me that link! Did you have to notch the crash bar to make the sensors fit in their new position?
So where did you get the grill?

Hmm tbh the factory setup did that at times too. Not as bad as some other cars ive owned, but I didnt notice more issues after the grille
you dont necessarily have to remove the wheels to get access those screws in the wheel liner and bolt, I just turned my wheels all the way inwards for both sides instead of just removing them
How’d u take that clip of at the beginning 1:04
Just with a puller tool like any other clip.
what about the S4 badge ? And I buy the one with the Quattro on the bottom thoses are cool to
You can 3d print a mount for the s4 badge from what ive seen. I dont run badges on mine other than the rings.
is it essential to wrap the crash bar ? and if it is does it need to be perfect or just “alright” as it’s behind the grill anyway ? thanks
You don't have to wrap it, but it will be quite visible behind the grille if you don't. I think there is also a cover of some kind you can get, i vaguely recall that from the forums. Doesn't have to be perfect.
where did u buy the black audi emblem? link for the grill?

Very helpful video but you forgot to mention the dead bird when pulling off the bumper.
Yikes!
That looked like hell. I agree, not meant to be taken out
Expect a broken clip here and there
Those 2 final clips are literally final boss
I have a 2019 and want to put a front bumper from a 2022 told not possible but both cars and bumper looks exactly the same why ??

Did you paint or wrap the crash bar? Nice work!
Wrapped it. Not a great wrapper so i didnt want to show all the wrong ways to do it lol. Thanks!
@@DmitrysGarage what wrap did you use?
Is it required to take off the wheels
You can probably do it without removing them but you’ll need to turn the wheels
Where can I buy this grill ???
Anywhere on ebay, aliexpress, etc... I didn't care for the vendor that sold me this particular unit, but it's all the same stuff made in china.
Does anyone know of somebody makes the smaller vents ok the side L and R?
Not that i found. I think there were some carbon fiber ones. I just had my stock units painted to match.

Why are your hands so shaky?
Prolly low blood sugar. I get it if I don’t eat, which happens a lot when I film.
What about the camera ?
I dont have a front camera but I believe there are versions of this product for that.
