An interesting car. The headlight styling resembles the 1935-1937 Hupmobile. I wonder if they all had the fabric top. Stamped steel tops took a large press and large dies and they may not have been available in Russia - at least within the cost constraints required. Over in Japan, Toyoda used all-steel tops before WWII, but formed each one by hand like that done in Italy. Only a few Ramblers and Kaisers used a similar tracking top after WWII in the US - a feature of unibody construction, which this car appears to be. As such, the structure probably corroded easily and therefore didn't last long. Front and rear fenders for each side appear to be from the same stamping, just cut different at the body - a practice used by Studebaker on their pickups. The 4-cylinder flathead engine is probably the ~20-hp Ford Model A derivative, which I understand was still used in Russian Jeeps at the time. Top speed probably around 30 mph (50 kph) without engine modifications, cruising speed somewhat less. I don't believe that stated spec of 90 kph. Not from that engine. The hood (bonnet) in 4 pieces, lends itself to hinging by the modeler for opening and closing. I prefer 1:24 or 1:25 scale to match my other models.

well, as far as I remember, this car is a copy of Opel, so you can guess that manufacturing process was somewhat similar.
Thank you for such extensive note, I learned some new things :)
