What I noticed with more sensitive rods is you feel bites earlier and you feel little bites you wouldn’t feel on a less sensitive rod and that’s why you “miss” more bites. So maybe your just missing the bites you wouldn’t have felt with a inferior rod ??
To me, I AM sure no rod is worth $500. What I wonder is, what cheaper rod do you feel is closest overall to the NRX? I would liketo get the feel of one without the big buck expenditure.
@@bassnbonsai Excellent video. I have a bunch of good qualiy IM 6 or better medium action Daiwa, Falcon and Shimano baitcasters. I'll go through them and see if any are rated down to 1/4 oz and try them out on my "casting range " to see how they do with sub 1/4 oz weights using a Lingl. I'll bet that some of them will work well. Thanks for the Idea.
No clue that's probably the opposite of how and what I fish for... But the first thing that comes to mind is heavy long rod with power.. I'd check into the MBR that tactical Bassin talk about it's a powerful but more parabolic action in the lineup but if you like a faster tip or action you won't like it
I had a gl2 musky rod and sent it to Loomis for replacement. New rod not the same definitely know what your talking about. Great video
What model is the rod? Specs?
