      @@Latherhog haha nice let me know how it goes! The wax almost gives it a similar feel to an oleophobic coating. The water won’t stick to it and it I’ll be less likely to rust.

      Thanks a lot Raza! Yeah I purchased a few machined razors that I enjoyed but once I started trying polished ones I want them all to be like that

    Looks great! I like the regular tumbled finish and even the stonewashed look, haha. I gonna get myself a Yates later.

      Thanks Tim! Yeah I know you’re not alone in that . I used to have the Yates and I like the Stonewash finish too. But this to me looks like it was polished and he gave up after 5 minutes 😂

    can i do this to polish a stainless steel karve razor?

    Flitz is good stuff, I've used it a bunch of times doing trigger jobs.
    You can also use a dremel tool with a buffing wheel. It makes it easier to get in the crevices.

    You should use the wool pad first (heavy cutting and produces less heat then a foam pad) and then the orange pad (medium/finishing pad) ,the wool pad feels soft to the touch but in fact the cutting factor is heavy and leaves behind micro scratches so you have to follow up with the orange pad voor a more shiny finish.

    Should I wash with soap and water after or is the Renissance wax safe for skin contact?

    Super job,i have some little scratches on my TATARA MASAMUNE you think if I polish it will disappear?thanks

    • @johnshaves1996
      @johnshaves1996  3 роки тому

      If it’s not too deep it could . But if you polish the masamune which is blasted . Then only that part of the razor will be shiny. You’d have to then polish the entire razor

    John just bought some Flitz to remove some small water spots off my straight. Heard it works great for that purpose as well.
    I was wondering with the Tatara Masamune/Nodachi matte finish do you think the Flitz would work on that razor to give it more of a polished look?
    I noticed just the slightest bit of drag with the matte finish and have always wanted a polished Tatara.

    • @johnshaves1996
      @johnshaves1996  3 роки тому +1

      I tried that on my sprecher and it worked pretty well! I’m a month late but I think you got yours polished right 😂

      @@johnshaves1996 yup John that’s me. Had polished up my Tatara Masamune/Nodachi. I definitely felt a better shave out of the polished finish, but then again that could just be my mindset as I prefer that polish feel.

    Nice job Don. As the gent posted below, just don't do this on plated razors:) I'd love to see how your blackland and other razors came out.
