I knew about the stun rod, but went with the laser sword as it looked cooler even for a slightly weaker range lol

It's funny how rare Jack actually is online, the high level Jacks just play the very dry style with standing 2, ff1, db1 and df2 for an overall solid character. But at a more intermediate level he is so rare while having so many cheese tools, you can get away with basically anything lol
Well I have 2 fairly recent videos with King, I'd say you can do the exact same thing because most online Kings are playing with 2 mids, one low, jabs and throws, and as soon as you get more creative than that people are completely lost 😆

Incredible content! I've said the same thing about ranked, it's mostly "cherry picking", and death matches make it all the more sweet for them. These high ranks are knowledgeable but they're more "book" smart than "street" smart. I feel like those high ranks are being robbed of a true Tekken experience because they still thinK a playstyle like Knee's is still the most optimal way to play the game but from seeing the Pakistan region high level play I've been conflicted for a while. Pakistan region are more aggressive, use a lot more moves, can fight well at close range, take more risk etc which is the total opposite of Knee's playstyle. With the whole theme of Tekken 8, these guys will likely struggle.
True, "high level" can mean many different things depending on the region, so it's kinda unfortunate that many online players only believe in what they've been seeing and refuse to acknowledge, and face someone who just doesn't play the way they expect

I made a 2nd account just to see if I deserved my rank or if I grinded (I was a Purple Rank at the time), so how hard it was to rank up and how easy the matches felt, would be an indication that the rank suited
I found out that, if I played consistently everyday and I warmed up before hooping on ranked(this is what my main account became), I was able to beat people comfortably up until Eternal Ruler

Yeah, normal grabs are 12f, so while they are quite likely to work they aren't guaranteed. Even some command grabs like the Mishimas' headbutt are 12f so you'll need to know what's gonna work beforehand

I sometimes meet some legit solid players but it depends on the character and rank meta honestly. Usually Lee players are solid and play well, the one who triple perfected me took me off-guard cause I wasn't expecting a purple rank playstyle there. The opposite can be said with other characters, for example I feel like Kunimitsu players from purple ranks play better than late blue ranks Kunimitsu players, because they gained patience and movement from getting hopkicked all day. While the Kunimitsu players from higher ranks are just spamming their mixups because more patient opponents are allowing that to happen.

it's a just frame 3+4

@@theLazymofozI'm a king main. it's a just frame reversal using 3+4 the instant before king snaps your ankle. you have a small frame window of I'd guess 3-5 frames but don't quote me on that. important is it's a 3+4 reversal and the timing is just as king is snapping and dealing damage to you.

Which one? If you mean the wall combo with the sitting punches you just need to hit the uf3+4 at 50% (low hit), which will count as a deep spike

I was using db2+3, but I'd recommend using the tombstone instead (db,f1+2) for better damage. I was being silly in that clip 😅

In my opinion there is some tricky combo stuff and a couple of just-frames but nothing you absolutely need like a Mishima EWGF 🙂

Recently I've bought a Series X so I'm back at , also with King , just trying to get along with new controller. I want some keep out character, with heavy damage, I'm personally thinking of Bryan
@@mikedakills4390 I see, Bryan is a very interesting character but the higher you go, the more you realize he requires a high battle IQ. I personnally struggle playing him but I get what you want. Jack is probably a good choice for you, but if you really never use throws I feel like Katarina or Claudio might be better. I guess you can just experiment, and keep playing the character that feels the best for you.

I think you can make some interesting combos, they are just oddly tricky with stuff like iWS4, delayed b1, micro SSR in the middle of the combo for an extra hit at the end, and u1+2 resplat combos.
