A goal of ours is to always bring at least 1 new driver from our friend group to each race so more people get to enjoy this great series. 2 rookies this time, father and son, and both got strapped to the car for different infractions!! Rethinking our rookie at every race goal!!!!
I think you should just keep lemons. I wouldn't have known about your team without the infractions. The blue corvette looks nice and I dig the wholesome racing. Maybe add cone decals for infractions.... ^_^

I know that if you bring a cheaty car that is obviously worth more than $500, you will be deducted a lap for each $10 you go over the budget. However, my question is that if you buy a car for under $500 and then proceed to further sell off parts, to reach and exceed zero dollars, would you be gifted laps? Would a terrible car with the proper documentation that proves that it is worth negative money be given laps? I'm open to a discussion.

I always wonder how people are blowing engines constantly... then I see the on-board videos of the drivers running these things past redline at every shift... doesn't seem like a good way to run an endurance race!!

I wouldn't say that it's fake, the racing is very real. I can't think of any racing that could be justified if only logic is applied. This is a great outlet for garage engineers, with no strict rulebook to follow aside from safety, and safety is important because you are racing against garage engineers with no strict rulebook to follow.
