What would you look for in a mare or stallion if you decided to breed your own horse? Any tips?

Darryl Bavington sounds like you’re on the right track. This is my first go around so I’m a newbie as well and I finally took the plunge with Navi.
I’d want the stallion to have a lot of “get up and go” but not too hot, since my mare is a cool headed girl I’d love for her to pass it on, not too big of a horse, I prefer 15-16 hands cause I’m a kinda small person. A jumper, doesn’t need to be top level or anything, maybe 3 1/2 - 4 feet, then a paint who hopefully has the blue eye gene cause mine does, don’t care what breed, maybe a Argentine corrillo or Arab (do they come in pinto? I don’t remember)
