Welcome to my comprehensive review of the Steinberg UR22C audio interface. After using this incredible device for nearly 2 years, I can confidently say it is perfect for musicians and voiceover artists aiming to record high-quality audio directly into their computers. It's especially useful if you are mobile and work on a laptop due to the fact that it can be powered by USB.
The Steinberg UR22C runs on USB 3.0, supports 32-bit/192 kHz audio, and features D-PRE preamps and DSP mix effects for seamless compatibility with various DAWs. I use a cardioid mic, and the UR22C converts its analog signal to digital effortlessly, allowing direct recording into my DAW on a Mac.

I’ve owned one for several years and they are a rock solid performer. However I’m now using my Scarlett solo gen 3 for my music recording of late. The solo definitely has better clarity in final recordings, a bit like taking a blanket off the speakers. The asio driver is probably better on the ur22c as I’m finding I’m reaching the maximum buffering and having to freeze tracks.
