I equivalate this to an experience at a church my husband and I visited. They had just built a $7 million building we thought was the church but was actually the rec room and the church would be $10 million. In the same service, they explained how they’d gone to their sister city, where people lived in literal cardboard huts, and brought hotdogs, and face painted, and did a fun fair. I thought, yeah that’s cool but did you maybe help with the housing or getting clean water sources too? Nope and they were all so proud of themselves. They brought the pastor of their sister church and his teenage son, he looked like he wanted to deck every one of them, and I couldn’t blame him.
