Love these chaps - please do more and I'll keep watching... again and again and again and again ;-)

I can't stop staring at the wood panel on the wall behind the sofa. It is truly mesmerizing!

The best film I've spent the most on is probably 'Bladerunner'. I saw it on release at the cinema first time around, and have since seen each subsequent version on the big screen at assorted anniversary releases, paying to drag friends to the showings, as well as buying different versions on VHS, DVD, and now Bluray. I've genuinely spent probably £500+ on this movie, and no, I've not purchased any 4K version or merch. Oh, and yes, I went to see '2049' at the flicks taking my better half to the cinema and subsequently buying the Blu. Add in the various versions/screenings of 'The Wicker Man', 'The Thing', 'Witchfinder General', and 'Blood on Satan's Claw' and on just those five films I've spent well over a grand. I'm fortunate that with no kids, a paid off mortgage, and not ever being unemployed, I can afford the costs.
    Basically.... HELP!

More money than sense? Maybe the next discussion?

I think age is the brutal decider , I used to have a bricks and mortar 2nd hand record shop and so without even realising it was happening I was buying stuff to lay away untouched for five , ten even twenty years until the circle came around again and these 45’s or LP’s either came back into fashion or , if you were lucky , you found you had bought some early stuff of a band that went on to become everybody’s darlings and are now in high demand.
Then come my middle 50’s the thought started to dawn that maybe I didn’t quite have the required 10+ years left in me to waste waiting for things to accumulate in value …..I’m now 61 and I know for sure I haven’t got that kind of time scale left in me to wait , nor have I now the inclination to do so.
So where do I go from here? ….ive got some rare and pricey gear tucked away as part of my collection and should I get knocked down by that metaphorical bus tomorrow my daughter wouldn’t have a clue of what’s worth 20p or what’s worth £2000.
You don’t see it until it’s upon you.
