Thanks John. The actual interior fitting we had little input as they build to a certain spec and if this isn’t for you, they are not the boat builder for you. It suited us as we are quite indecisive and completely trusted the builder, which is important. The decor etc was our input. So the sofa, book case etc is all something we gave thought to. Hi Anne. I wrote a really long reply and not sure why it isn’t now showing up. Firstly, thank you for the lovely compliments re our new home. We feel very lucky. Secondly, Bury general (Fairfield) is still open. It has an A and E and radiology services. The maternity has closed and more recently, even the early pregnancy unit. It is being taken over by Central Manchester NHS trust (This comprises
Of Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe General, Trafford General and soon to be North Manchester General (Crumpsall). I love the cottage feel of the place and some of the tiled corridors which are obviously Victorian.

The hospital has its origins in the Bury Union Workhouse Infirmary which was completed in 1905.[1] The facility became known as the Jericho Hospital in the 1930s and joined the National Health Service as the Fairfield General Hospital in 1948.[2][3] The hospital was modernised in the 1970s and, following the closure of Bury General Hospital off Walmersley Road in 2007, all services transferred to expanded facilities at Fairfield General Hospital

I love the utensil holders in the galley - I've stolen that idea for my master list :) And of course a video wouldn't be complete without seeing Dexter finding a couple of places to get super comfy, since of course I'm never going to miss a second of Dexter video when it's available *grin* Hope you and Anthony are doing well this week and that everyone stays safe and well.
Aww thank you Sean. We absolutely love living on board and are feeling like it is home now we have settled. Still moving things about to find just the right spot. The utensil holders are from IKEA. We actually had a couple from our previous land dwelling. Dexter is sprawled out on the sofa next to me whilst Paul is busy sorting his art orders out thanks to David from Cruising the Cut. Hi Sean lovely to hear from you. This weeks vlog was such hard work, I recorded two more videos after watching the is back, thought it was too dull. Uploaded everything to Final Cut Pro and then lost it all. Compute problems and flash card reader problems, lost film and finally three days trying to upload this weeks vlog. It could have been much better but lesson learned. Hope you are well and and safe 👍

Great tour Paul. Thanks for sharing your’s and Anthony’s home with us. It is beautiful inside. The bead board painted the lovely cream color really brightens things up. And I am jealous of the slide out lower cabinets in your galley! That’s great storage. Also like the brushed silver hardware on cabinets and doors, very pretty. The composting toilet is cool, it looks like a real toilet not a camping one😂. I do think your tiles behind the wood stove look like the Ministry of Magic fireplaces🥰. The only thing missing is one of your lovely paintings on the wall.
Also I want to order a print but I live in the US, would a flat print survive the postal service all the way from England?

Hi Dawn thanks for your lovely comments. We fell in love with the Bickerstaffe boats the first time we saw one and bumped into a lovely couple who owned one. I have posted a lot of prints to the US and so far all have arrived safely 💕
