YOU’RE KIDDING IM GOING TO SURREY THIS SEPTEMBER AND IM STUDING ECONOMICS AND FINANCE TOO YOU’RE A MIRACLE can’t believe i actually found your channel!!! ❤️❤️😍😍
Congratulations on getting a first!!! 🎉🎉 I've been watching your videos for the past 2 years and now finally I'm going to uni! In regards to making notes, could you possibly elaborate or do a video on it on how to make the revision notes? Thank you ❤️
Thanks so much for this video has really helped me! Honestly uni has been soo depressing for me because I had to resit half my exams in 1st year... you've honestly given me hope x
I've been watching your channel for ages whilst doing my A levels and I'm finally going to uni in a couple of weeks! Thank you for so much for your videos that have helped me stay motivated and I'll definitely keep your advice in mind when in first year (let's hope I actually stick to it 😉)
vey useful info and i can couch for most of what you are saying. these are the techniques i use to make sure I’m always above that 70% level. but one I’ll take away is the exam practice with a partner and comparing answers, that’s a good one. thanks for this 👍🏽
I've been trying to find useful videos for uni. And other videos mention some good points but you actuallyyyyyyyy have points that I feel would be superrrr helpfulll. thank you so much.
I like using amino too!!! Most of my organisation has been inspired by the "bullet journal amino" and the "studying amino" . I'm going into my 3rd and final yr at uni, and I'm really hoping to get a first! Thanks for sharing these tips ☺️
I have always wanted a video like this from you, you released it just in time! I'm going to uni this year and I feel like you eased all my worries about studying. Thank you!
wooo, congrats on getting into Surrey!! Yep I'll be back from placement next year so will probs see you around then! :) Hope you have a fab time at uni ❤️
Fantastic video and very encouraging please could you do a more detailed on in terms of what the best revision techniques are and how to divide your time in university thanks.
This is an amazing video - never usually watch study help videos but I'm 100% using this one - just one question: I love the idea of rewriting my notes after every lecture but I have an awful feeling I will get lazy and won't rewrite them after every lecture lol. How did you manage to keep it up? Also congrats on your first, I'm doing econ too (second year in 2 weeks time!) and I'm so impressed!
thank you so much! Haha the same thing happened to me, I think the best thing is to do is going to the library straight after the lecture( or on the day)and just rewrite it then :) I just tried to have all of the week's lecture notes rewritten by the end of the week - you can get a lot of notes done on the weekend :) Good luck for second year!!
Thank you so much! I realise that your advice is mainly for exams. Do you have any tips for getting a first for essays? As this year i have more essays than exams
Well done on getting a first!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I'm starting uni on the 18th, it's going to be my first year. And yesss I need to organise every week too, my time table for uni changes every week literally! 😫😅😶
@Ela hey I study with the open university and I am doing 3 modules . One is hard form me to understand. So many words. My tutor said look at the leading outcome and read it but I get so confused. And then I’m how should study the module I have difficulty with and study the others ones equally
Such a good video! 😍 One little question, can colour coordinating your notes be useful? or perhaps time wasting? And what other ways could colour be incorporated into notes/organisation?
Thank you! I think it depends a lot on whether you're a visual learner - colour coordinating defo helps some people so you should try it out and see :) Personally I felt that it didn't help me too much , I only wrote in blue , black and red (black for main text, blue for key sentences and red for formulas/key definitions etc)
Congratulations on getting a first!!!! This video is so good because your learning style is very similar to mine. Your learning style is very similar to mine. Your learning style is very similar to mine. See what I did there 😉 but on a real, repetition is the way forward well for us anyway.
Hey! Congrats on your first xxx I just wanted to ask one question since I’m planning to go to surrey. Iv heard that students have exams after Christmas holidays, so does that mean that it is difficult to go on holiday as we would need to revise? I’m asking because my family are planning a 2 week trip abroad at the end of the year to see some family (between 16th dec to 1st jan), but I may not go if I need to revise for exams...
Can you please help me. I applied for accounting and finance and I have put it a conditional offer, I want a career both in finance and in investment at some point in my life but people have told me to do finance and economics as a degree instead as it is a broader and more academic subject and that accounting and finance is frowned upon and is becoming more like business degree. From your your point of view as an economics student, do you think I should swap. Thank you
Asking for advice: hello everyone in UK education environment. I am a mature international students who have struggled to support myself for education. I do not live in UK and I study online. Fortenateley, I managed to have tow postgraduate certificates from City University and Derby, and I have been accepted at Portsmouth in the Masters programme. However, since I do not have an undergraduate degree, BA or Bsc, I still have a lack in my CV regardless of my experience or high education and I find difficulty to explain to everyone asking me about my first degree how I was involved and accepted directly to postgraduate level. At the same time I do not have an area in the rest of my life or financial capacity to start a new 3 years BAand want to continue to PHD after the MA. Recently, I have been accepted by Edinburgh Napier to take the BA top up in Business management during a period of a year. The top up is equal to the last year of BA,120 credits. Do you find it beneficial to take this BA as a quick alternative for the first degree I have not had yet? I insist on having it to fill the gap in my CV and to stop people's wonders about my educational history. Furthermore, many PHD entry requirements asks for a previous undergraduate degree before the MA.
I starting university tomorrow and it's so useful to know. it's interesting that a few points are different with covid, as there no chance me missing my letures as it's all online 😂😝
Do you have any suggestions for where to get planners/journals? Im starting Uni in October and I'm trying to find one that's for the academic year but they're all either for 2017 or 2018 😞
Aside from stationary stores, I'd defo recommend Urban Outfitters (www.urbanoutfitters.com/en-gb/journals-notebooks) - they look so pretty and you can make them into bullet journals :) But if you wanted 2017/18 academic journals, then WHSmith have some good ones - www.whsmith.co.uk/dept/stationery-diaries-12x00004
I’m about to start my economics degree in September. I didn’t get the best a level grades and have promised myself that I will get a first. During my placement year, will it be hard to find a placement with bad a level grades or will I be alright as long as I get a good predicted grade ?
Hi I really want to apply for economics at university like you and I've watched all your videos, would there be any way i could email you for advice and send you m personal statement so yo could give me feedback?xx It would be soo helpful, thank youu
Thank you doing so much for this video, i'm starting uni next Saturday doing Financial Economics with Econometrics a Kent, just wondering if you could do a video on your placement please.
yep for most exams they didn't release past mark schemes! I think it depends more on the course than the uni - even at Surrey, people on other courses did have access to all the past mark schemes. I think they just don't really release it for Econ

Hi! That was super helpful. Where do you get access to past exam papers (for Surrey students)? Thanks
@Ela hey I study with the open university and I am doing 3 modules . One is hard form me to understand. So many words. My tutor said look at the leading outcome and read it but I get so confused. And then I’m how should study the module I have difficulty with and study the others ones equally

For essay based modules did you stick to just the textbook or did you do external reading from the reading list?
