I hope not. The new RDX interior looks fancy, but it has one of the worst human ergonomics layout I've ever experienced. The true touchpad interface is a nightmare to use. You expect it to behave like a mousepad, but it is not. Lots of distraction to use while driving. They say it's 1:1 true touch but you still have to guess the relative position on the touchpad for icons in the middle of the screen. The rotary dial for changing driving dynamics is huge and a complete waste of real estate. How often do we really change the driving dynamics while driving? That dial could have been used for pan/zoom the map instead. Not a fan of the tablet style screen either. That seems to be a trend all automakers are going with. At certain time of day it's a nightmare for glare. Anyways, these are just my personal opinion. I tried very hard to like the new RDX interior, but couldn't. We shall see what the new 2021 MDX interior will look like in Q3 or Q4 this year.
@@bohan9957 Another significant strike against the RDX, at least in my opinion, is that it went back to using a turbo 4 cylinder. Acura should have kept the V6! It gets perfectly fine fuel economy.
@@kingfarticusreturns6371 Completely agree. Not a fan of small displacement turbo engines. Give me a naturally aspirated V6 or V8 any day, but get rid of the VCM. I've always been a Japanese car fan, but to be honest the Koreans are slowly winning me over. Depending on what the 2021 MDX brings, my next vehicle might be a Genesis GV80.
@@bohan9957 To drastically help that system they need to make it a touch screen. At least give us the option and we’ll choose what we want to use. Lexus made their latest system touch compatible so Acura should as well.
its only alcantara for the aspec, which i might remind you is still very nice. However, every other mdx has real leather, which is more than you can say for any competition
