Well, I think it's a pretty cool way of giving many more people the option to use these, let's be honest - quite expensive plugins, for a fraction of their price. It becomes affordable if you spread the cost out like that.
I hate subscription to be honest , however I have wanted to use some these plugins and I think if the work come in next year that has been promised I am gonna give them a go as well as get a new M3 Pro MacBook .. Lets see !!@@PhillipSkraba
Well, I remember when I bought Adobe, it cost me $1400, and that hurt, but paying $10 a month now for Lightroom and Photoshop, that seems to make a lot more sense. Same goes here, I have so many plugins from MotionVFX, if I were to buy them all I'd be broke 😂
@@PhillipSkrabait doesn‘t make Sense if you already own Most of The Plugins and it only means that loyal customers which already paid the full Price won‘t ever receive Updates unless they subscribe to the Cine thing. So if you allready a loyal User you gotta get squeezed out… so i will Never buy again. I experienced the same thing with a VST Plugin which i were invested big and then i couldnt use any Plugins (which i already paid Full) unless i Go the forced Plan. You will own nothing and you will(Not) be happy

@@DirksDreamDestinations I haven't added up what all these plugins would cost separately, but I'm guessing they would be more than most people would care to spend, so the $24 subscription really isn't bad and opens these plugins up to many more creators. I do understand that it's a change not welcome by everyone though, I felt similar when Adobe started monthly.

I don't use DaVinci, and when I do the whole node thing fries my brain. Premiere would cause me to hit my head against the wall, so Final Cut Pro won, and MotionVFX filled in all the gaps that were missing. So it's possible some of this stuff is in DaVinci, I'm not sure as I refuse to fry my brain using it.
Exactly. Magic Mask takes two min to understand. Final Cut is late in the game and so is he.

Motion VFX is #WINNING. & they’ve helped me in so many ways. I’m okay with paying this. Because I’m serious about my passion and drive for music/videography. They’ve helped me turn my Final Cut Pro projects 🆙 through the roof! So I must say they’re worth it if you’re attempting to do film making full time using Final Cut Pro! Quick & Effective plugins!

@@KenSambury I fully understand your feeling. I had the same feeling when Adobe went from boxset to monthly. I had a boxset I bought for $1600 that became obsolete and they stopped dropping updates for it. I was pissed. Right now I've been paying for Adobe for years, and I've got used to it. I understand why MotionVFX had to do this, it's about survival. If you look at life, we basically pay monthly for just about everything, from electricity and gas to our phone bills, so it really isn't that odd. It also means MotionVFX, who I stand by solidly and are an absolutely fantastic company, can give us their all and carry on working on their products, which by the way are with no doubt the best plugins in the world.

I understand that they are almost being forced to a subscription model, that's just the way of the world now, but honestly I would much rather have several tiers where I get to pick my products. so $288 for 25 products, but let ME pick the products. Then allow me to change them annually, or before then for a fee.
I’m guessing that’s way more useful feedback for MotionVFX than a lot of the other comments. It’s new to them, and I understand why they did it, and I’m sure the community will help in forming their future choices.
If they stop allowing purchases, they'll lose some loyal customers. Maybe they don't care, but I won't buy. The good news is, I own a lot already and can do pretty. much all I need

Be nice Michael, that goes a long way, there are way too many assholes in this world, don’t be one of them. A lot of us prefer Final Cut Pro X, so considering Final Cut Pro X does not have these features it’s great a company like MotionVFX is here to help the FCP community by filling in gaps.

It's funny, I don't really have a monster machine, I edit everything on a Macbook Air M2 16GB, and I do that 50% of the time on my lap whilst watching Netflix and taking care of my children. Thanks!

MotionVFX PLug-Ins the Easiest to work with for Final Cut Pro ? I beg to differ, in that they handle OPACITY for their TITLES "I N C O R R E C T L Y". Unlike the built-in Titles in Final Cut Pro which allow you to go to the Video Tab in the Inspector & adjust the Global Opacity of the Title selected & NOT affect any Video Layer beneath the Titel Layer, MotionVFX Titles cannot have their Opacity reduced in the Video Inspector WITHOUT affecting any Underlying Video. You are required to create the dreaded Compound Clip in order to ISOLATE THEIR TITLES from the Video Underneath if you want to reduce the Opacity of their Title. Very Frustrating ! SOME Of the Titles have Global Opacity Controls but many of them DO NOT, especially their Template Titles. There are many other problems with MotionVFX plug-ins that no one wants to discuss for some reason. I love their Plug-in but the inconsistencies are frustrating.
Quite honestly that problem has never affected me, hence the reason why I have no idea about it. I get that everyone has a different workflow though, so that’s no doubt good feedback for them.

MVFX is backstabbing there loyal clients who already payed for most of the plugins in Cine Studio. You guys should be ashamed. Its a comple scam and total ripoff
@motionvfx - You should really reconsider this. Making a subscription model with primarily old plugins and then charge several hundred dollars a year isn't good for your old community. I've spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on your plugins. Now I might look elsewhere.
@@andreasdk MotionVFX certainly offers some of the top plugins for FCP, but it seems they may have overlooked the value of their long-standing loyal customers. It’s concerning when businesses don’t prioritize retention. This oversight is often the beginning of challenges for major companies. I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time, but I’ve recently reconsidered investing in MotionVFX. I’d prefer to support companies that value both their customers and ethical business practices.
Love your videos, but your intro is misleading. he said you have access to all these plug-ins when in reality, you only have access to About 10% of them. The price of the subscription, why haven’t they made the other plug ins inclusive? Guess time will tell
I think I did mean the plug-ins in the CineStudio package, sorry if that did sound misleading. As for the plugins themselves, they are excellent, and maybe in time, it would be cool if MotionVFX did a package where all their plugins were available for a price, that would be amazing. Time will tell like you said.
Either way your videos are great l im getting the subscription. And a video enthusiast with equipment sitting there collecting dust, and an adobe subscription ongoing since 2019 I’m sure to add this to the mix 😂 at least until Apple decides to update fcpx and include up to date plug ins 😭😭😭

I really dont get the hate for subscriptions…We subscribe to other services in life that provides continous service/updates. Like insurance, netflix, internet access etc,. One time fees make more sense for things that are not expected to be updated continually. A subscription model will in my opinion give providers incentives to be forward leaning and keep improving their products to keep customers, which is very important in the fast evolving technology age we live. Also, as a beginner it is great to try new Products for a low monthly fee, and be able to turn on/off with the click of a button and no hassle. I do ofcourse understand people who already bought, and really hope they get to be part of the subscriptions for free! Well, just my 2 cents. Looking forward to when it comes to final cut pro for ipad. What is «soon» in Apple terms. More then 6 months at least….
I totally agree, just about 90% of the things I pay for are subscriptions.

Toyota, Ford KTM are all doing subscription models, do you really want a "BILL" for everything in life ? Software on the PC, MAC and certainly apps, have subscription models... it's very ridiculous. Don't get your feelings hurt.. this is MY opinion, and I will stick with it.

I hear that, it seems like a repetitive response to the subscription service, but I’m sure it’s been implemented for a reason, one you can read about on the official CineStudio page.
simple reason! money! I think FCP will be the loser on this. I've edited in FCP for many year and invested in plugins. With both motionvfx and pixelfilm studios moving in this direction i'm concidering to jump to premiere (wich was totally out of question before). I understand this is a sponsored video and you need to back the sponsor up on this, but also be aware that your trustworthiness might be questioned by defending what obviously the whole fcp community seems to consider a lousy move from motionvfx. @@PhillipSkraba

But seriously - bundling a new plugin with old plugins ppl may already own and then put an absurd price tag on it for eternity is just...terrible! It pisses off all old customers (that should be your ambassadors). This is the highway to lose customers.
I moved from Premiere after 18 years to Final Cut Pro X, not due to the subscription, which is much more expensive than MotionVFX, but due to reliability. Premiere was a nightmare, DaVinci made me dizzy with its nodes, FCP came out the best. As for MotionVFX, if you have the plugins, you own them, but in your shoes I’d read why they’ve switched to subscription, there is a reason behind it. You have to remember they’re not Adobe or Apple, and let’s be honest compared to the likes of PixelFilm Studios they’re gold, they’re innovative, they’re plugins are full of class and incredibly easy to use. Sometimes these decisions come down to survival, and I will stand by them as I fully 110% believe in them. You will never please everyone, and I myself bought Adobe Master Box foe $1800, only to have to switch to subscription, and believe you me I was as pissed as you are, but life goes on, and I’m happy with the Adobe products I pay monthly for right now.
Also, as a whole load of you are way too lazy to read why MotionVFX is switching to subscription, I’ll pin it in a comment to the top of this video.
