No one is hating. It's just facts that American cars are usually on the top charts when it comes to recalls. And GM is the #1 in a decade span. And GM had so many lawsuits than any other And just because your vehicle has no problem don't justify it's built well. Maybe you just got lucky. At the end of the day quality control is never a priority for American cars. Its all about money(American greed).

My father is retired from GM. I worked in the Lake Orion plant for a summer after high school. You have never in your life ever encountered a more spoiled, entitled, lazy bunch of people in my entire life ever since. Just being honest. we had a guy show up drunk every single day to drive a fork lift and no supervisors would say shit to him because it just meant union hassles. It was an endless list of laziness that I've never seen before in my 30 years since. If a supervisor asked ANYONE to do something the standard answer was "Go fuck yourself its not my job". After that summer I had a whole new outlook on "hard working autoworkers". I helped a guy catch up one time that was behind on his job and literally i though i was going to get beat up by other workers because "Thats not your job". It was the craziest shit I'd ever seen. Ive got 100 stories from that summer. We wont even begin with the massive amount of drinking and drug use on the job.

The Chevy plants, as well as the Ford plants, in the 60's and 70's were filled with laughter, happy faces! They were like being with family...Now it's sad to see humans as an after thought, in the manufacturing process, A field of machines instead of joking and laughing humans....I love my Cat Eye Chevy, It still has some soul to it...
Mistakes happen with those laughter and happy faces. When deviation is high and waste is abundant, companies have to cut costs on safety to stay profitable. I'm sure you enjoy your Chevy Vega and Ford Pinto. Advanced robotic manufacturing is the future, and the laughter and happy faces are taking place inside engineering lounges and programming cafes.
Most of the robots are in body and paint shop. The jobs they do would be brutal on humans these days. What welder is going to want to sit on a production line doing spot welds all day? What painter would want to sit in a booth painting cars all day at a rate that's needed for the demand of vehicles being ordered? It's just no practical having humans doing some of these jobs anymore. We are making 600 units per shift in the plant I work in. Robots create skilled trades jobs too that pay very good. The more robots, the more skilled trades. Plenty of jobs are still human jobs in final where a human touch is needed.
@@219jello You're right about those task but; assembly is done by robots too.... I know the Quality and quantity arguments... @@godbluffvdgg robots can't repair other robots in the field. They would have to walk in with a toolbox over dozens of hazards. We don't use any robots in final, all done with humans. We have a horrible attendance track record at our plant. FMLA is abused too. Humans do it to themselves
I ordered a new 3500HD GMC Sierra March 2022. Just recently, GM cancelled my order. They had $52,500 up front as a trade, for over 6 months. Returned my money, but no compensation. Thanks a lot, General Motors, for letting me down. I wanted this truck so bad. I will no longer give referrals as an employee.
I was looking for a specific process where they install fasteners that you have to take half the vehicle apart to remove but it seemed to be in all the assembly scenes.
In 2016 I bought a fully loaded GMC Sierra SLT as I'm a gms customer for 10 months it was in the shop had GM getting frustrated with 3 local dealers telling GM it definitely has a major problem but they couldn't figure it out, this truck was our first to become a fleet purchase for our expanding company. At the end we video recorded dealerships parking the truck in the back and never working on it when we showed them drone footage of this with recorded footage of interior of this truck being parked and no work done to it, we were told not to return to those dealerships. My family works for GM and they couldn't believe it but we're pissed. So we started buying Ford f250 trucks at the price of the 1500 GMC we never looked back. We don't even look at GM products anymore and have a fleet purchase program with Ford to replace every 4 years or less. Btw I was a GM fan was
Do they still offer that for the Corvette where you get to watch it being built and help on some things? I'm sure it's an expensive experience, but I'm sure it's amazing to see.

I love my 2022 Denali 2500HD Ultimate with Duramax and Allison. Waiting on my chips for the heated back seats and the backup sensors. Everything else works.
Just wanted to clear up some misinformation. The video mentions that there are 2 engines available (2.7L turbo 4cyl, 5.3L V8). There are actually 4 engines: the aforementioned 2.7 and 5.3, a 6.2 V8 and a 3.0L turbo diesel or (baby Duramax as I like to call it) Max power output for the Sierra/Silverado 1500 is 420 hp and 460 lbs which is produced from the 6.2L V8. Did you know?: The 6.2L is the Corvette motor with a couple modifications, like iron heads for strength and handling loads.
So this is what it's like to finally see a GM product not break down... Watching these UAW drones pick up parts, seem dazed and confused about which end or side goes where, wearing sunglasses, beating on spot welds with a cold chisel and hammer, and basically looking like they are waiting on the whistle to blow is a great representation of how reliable GM products are today. They are barely built to make it 100k miles, many models don't even make it that far. To see this after being inside a certain assembly plant in north San Antonio is crazy.
I spent 31 years between corvette in stlouis pick ups in stlouis and cars in wentzville it gets very tiring doing same thing all day but things are changing from what I understand

Thank God, I will buy some for myself
In 1980 I toured the GM plant in Janesville, WI and that was cool, but this is just light yrs ahead of anything I saw there...
So this is where my truck was born !
When I did OTR trucking I delivered the tires for these trucks from the Bridgestone plant in Augusta GA 5 times and once from the Bridgestone plant in NC. All going back to my home state Indiana 🙂
My plan is to buy a new Sierra in 2 years can’t wait to see what new goodies will be in it
Most beautiful trucks in the world thanks GM
I Just love Amerika, and everything you do over there. My biggest wish is to move the States, but a mounth vacation will do for now. No-one makes cars, trucks and bikes like the US. US = ❤️❤️❤️
Chinese m0r0n.
Look at all that incredible engineering
Hats off to the Japanese robots.
@@truthadvocacy 😅😂🤣
I’ve been in a business situation where I’ve had to drive dodge trucks for the past 42 years. I’m finally going to get to drive a gmc again because of retirement. I’m so damn happy I could spit lug nuts. Lol
I work on the engine assembly line for Honda in Alabama. The GM people seem to have a much more laid back atmosphere than we do. For us it's, push. push. push! get those engines out! More, More, More! faster ! faster!
Honda productivity policy.
My 2014 Silverado was made here. Seems I'm in the minority with a 4.3 v6, but it has yet to have it's first issue. Solid vehicle !
I have it's brother in the 2014 Sierra with 4.3. The only thing better would be a new version of the same truck. Love it.
It's hard to beat the ol 4.3 V6. You've got the newer 4 valve version of the engine. I've got a 2004 S10 with the L35 in it. Thing is more powerful than people give it credit for, and I'd be willing to say the Gen V engines only increase the capability of what the engine could do.
@@AirborneRenegade I'm not sure they have 4 valves, but I do know the block/heads are aluminum. I like the engine......and truck !
Same here with a 2015 V6 Silverado. No issues by far after a life of hauling and towing. Great truck👌🏼
Your GM may have been made here, but it has the blood of poisoned Flint, Michigan Americans AND the treasonous legacy of a greedy company that sold out the Allies by aiding the Axis forces in WWII. Profiting off selling to both sides.
Just got my new Trail Boss and this is cool to see how it was made
Nice trucks and factory, thanks
Fascinating video!!!!! Thank you for sharing this.
2016 GMC2500 dirty maxx best truck I’ve ever owned hands down
My home town of Fort Wayne IN!!!
Simply AMAZING!
GM the greatest manufacturer in the world......💯💯💯💯
Tell that to the people in Flint and Pontiac
Hey people in Flint and Pontiac! GM is the greatest manufacturer in the world! Howz that,? 🙂
@@h8troodoh it was a lot better before they left. Ghost town now
yeah, that's why they CLOSED 5 factorys in North america..and VW runs the largest car factory in North America Puebla Mexico, and the world's largest in Wolfsburg germany..and sell almost 10 million vehicles a year, only toyota and VW are in the same league, GM Ford all others follow. VW is building anotehr $2 BILLION factory in SC..to make it's EV Scout SUV, from it's Navistar truck div. Yes VW owns International Harvester, MAN and Scannia trucks, GM doesn't make trucks, either
biggest truck maker in the world is.Daimler Benz
Love our GMC!
amazing process.... much respect to all the employees
Hats off to Japanese robots, not dumb employees.
@@truthadvocacy relentless 😅🤣🤣
Realy I like this factory so much
Super 👏👏👏👏👏👏Excellent 👍Beutiful
This is so cool! Ordering my 2023 Denali soon
My 2016 Sierra has 165k miles and going strong
Oshawa Truck Assembly 🇨🇦 in a small portion of near 8 million sq.ft. overall Plant facility is no slouch for Build Quality and customer satisfaction too 👍
Top quality builds from that plant.
Both of my last 2 trucks came out of Fort Payne.
A 1993, and a 2009.
Over 700,000 combined miles on the both of them, and still running.
bought a new 2003 Silverado white work truck 4/4 added cruse and a hitch ....best truck ever had and still drive it 100,000 plus , lot of rust though that's Iowa for ya! and it has it's things ....but would drive it any ware
It looked like the inline engine may have been a Duramax? Nice video!
2.7 turbo gasser I4 engine
Hava a 2012 4x4 purchased new. Best truck I've ever owned. Have a 23 ordered. My son gets the 12. Expect him to get another trouble free 10 yrs. Or more. I put 115k miles on it w only replacing ft brakes and oil changes.
I had four GM trucks that were built at Fort Wayne and all of the vehicles were excellent quality. It is no big secret that GM’s best built trucks come that factory.
Oshawa,Ontario takes that award, sorry...
Oshawa was always GM’s best plant, which is why they opened it up again after foolishly shutting it down.
Its crazy to think that 20 years ago, my 06 Sierra made the same journey down this assembly line
production has changed since 1990s .saw them making gm vehicles in Elmsford new york .plant now demolished . i just keep wondering how robots are going to buy the vehicles they make .once looked at a gm plant and most of the employees vehicle's where foreign .at to days cost and repairs of todays vehicle's one must go into a mortgage or run a business to pay for one never mind the taxes due. thanks for the video ,nice to see the up dates .
What a process. I recently test drove a 2020 Sierra 1500 Denali with the 6.2L engine. VERY nice.
At 09.00 The Ferrari badge on his trousers😂😂
@@clearcut6818 You're just anti human...Sad..:(
Most of the robots are in body and paint shop.
I just see it as Cold and sterile, the downfall and replacement of the common man...Robots are already building other robots...Careful what you wish for. The primary reason is we have been decimated as a society, murdered enmasse through, air, food, water and medicine...
@@godbluffvdgg robots can't repair other robots in the field. They would have to walk in with a toolbox over dozens of hazards. We don't use any robots in final, all done with humans. We have a horrible attendance track record at our plant. FMLA is abused too. Humans do it to themselves
Amazing 🤩
For 3rd world viewers.
Its America , its what we do 👍 !!!
I do have a Denali 6.2L... no regrets!!!!
I Bet this is a Great Place to Work!!
And die at 50 of chemical poisoning.
Btw I was a GM fan was
Cool story bro
Красота 👍👍👍👍👍🛻
It would be nice if when you bought a truck you had the option of ordering a video that followed your truck through the different stages of assembly!
Oh snap! That is so funny I was thinking the same thing a video would be cool! Whats another $1k when your spending $75k for a truck😂
Do they still offer that for the Corvette where you get to watch it being built and help on some things? I'm sure it's an expensive experience, but I'm sure it's amazing to see.
As far as I know they still offer that for the Corvette
@7:16, Video incorrectly states that there is only the 2.7L Turbo and 5.3L gas engines available for the 1500. There is also the 3.0L Duramax diesel.
And 6.2L V8
The Silverado 1500 is also built in Oshawa Ontario Canada. With most of production being shipped to the US and Mexico market. I'd buy one if I could afford it.
this is so interesting
Go American workers god bless you and America!!! This is why we buy American!!! Uaw proud!! No rice here!!
My 2011 silverado was built here on a good day I'd say only maintenance with original AFM lifters sitting currently with 226k miles she's rusty but trusty
I just bought a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 hd AT4 the salesman told me the same thing about the aluminum on the hood, doors. I checked it with a magnet, all steel, no aluminum. BTW, I freaking love this truck!
Just wish I could afford what was being built. My 07 must have missed the rust proof part.
I feel like my 2019 sierra is better than older ones when it comes to rust on the cab and box, but I don’t believe the frames have improved much
I still don't know why they don't use more Aluminum body parts. So many trucks die due to the salt.
Is this a video about GMC production or an advertisement for Fanuc Robots?
Are they pre-rusting the frames? Just scrapped a 2010 Silverado because of rust issues!
Thanks, Been drivin GMs for decades. Nothing like that New truck smell. Ok $70k these days.
Even reading $70k for a truck, made it feel like something was caught in my throat.
Massive GMC Sierra
Around 1:30 what is the "music" in the background?
My 2013 2500HD is still running fine. O2 sensors on exhaust has to all be replaced but that is all. Rear fenders are starting to show rust from the inside now.
awesome
Got a new 2022 Chevrolet Colorado on the way, it was built on October 18, 2022. Love my 2019 Colorado, but time to upgrade.
Lo mejor de lo mejor GMC Chevrolet si señor
É lindo demais cara tem uma vaga aí pra mim
That was cool
I drive a 2016 Ford. I love it,but my son bought a new 7.3 gas truck with that 10 speed trans. The trans broke. They can’t get a new replacement so he traded it for a Chevy diesel . They took the trade and gave him 10 K!Now the Chevy dealer will wait on it!Fords having problems with their 10 speed trans
Sold my 2020 back to the dealer. Cleared a boat load of money. Bought a clean 2002 all cash. Had money left over for modern take off wheels and tires.
I'm disabled and have a 2002 Trailblazer and a 2013 Impala that I inherited from my parents, I sure hope they last a long time. I can't afford the cost of a new vehicle.
I still have my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that I bought Brand New…. It’s going on 100,000 miles and never a problem yet! Thank You GM 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

There are actually 4 engines: the aforementioned 2.7 and 5.3, a 6.2 V8 and a 3.0L turbo diesel or (baby Duramax as I like to call it)
Max power output for the Sierra/Silverado 1500 is 420 hp and 460 lbs which is produced from the 6.2L V8.
Did you know?: The 6.2L is the Corvette motor with a couple modifications, like iron heads for strength and handling loads.
Wow so butiful
So this is what it's like to finally see a GM product not break down...
Watching these UAW drones pick up parts, seem dazed and confused about which end or side goes where, wearing sunglasses, beating on spot welds with a cold chisel and hammer, and basically looking like they are waiting on the whistle to blow is a great representation of how reliable GM products are today. They are barely built to make it 100k miles, many models don't even make it that far. To see this after being inside a certain assembly plant in north San Antonio is crazy.
Funny. I've had 5 new Tundras. 4 of them had issues in the first 5k miles
I spent 31 years between corvette in stlouis pick ups in stlouis and cars in wentzville it gets very tiring doing same thing all day but things are changing from what I understand
