Sam Emory: The Necessity of an Altar

Sam preaches on the need of a altar not only in a building; but in our hearts and lives. We need a personal walk, place and mindset to worship the Lord God in our homes, offices, schools and daily. Every single christian is commanded by God to love him with ALL our heart, soul, mind and strength; not simply out of convenience, but at all times. Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind.." Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 6:4-8 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart: And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shalt talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house, and on your gates."

I went to an Apostolic Assembly Church (don’t ask why) and they have preachers that don’t compare to the lowest in the UPC . (I’m talking about Emory type of preachers ) old school preachers they don’t come like this anymore .

I will say this, and let it be afterwards. Some 30 years ago people preached a 24/7 lifestyle of living for God; today it seems that they are grateful to bring them in twice a week. Standards for the most part have been lowered in my opinion. May God bless you for loving the truth of God's word.
