John O'Hurley was like the most normal host I've ever seen in a game show before and that's why I loved him so much! Whenever I would turn on the TV to watch Family Feud, I would get so excited to see him come in through the entrance. He's just so wholesome and nice!
I met John O’Hurley and he was an interesting guy. I told him I actually liked him as host of Family Feud. And I feel the show got better when they reintroduced Bullseye. I feel like he was a cross between Dawson and Combs.

And he's less than a year from beating Richard Dawson as the longest serving host of Family Feud. when he leaves, Famlly Feud is going to have a very hard time finding someone to replace him who can replace that energy, charisma and that natural ability to relate to contestants and audience as Steve Harvey does

So it could inadvertently cheapen the stakes. Bullseye was a mistake when they used it on the tail end of the Ray Combs era, and bringing it back was also a mistake.
