- Yesterday in Modern Warfare III we got a minor update that was meant to take care of a handful of bugs and exploits but unfortunately, it also broke the Lightning Fire Trigger on the COR-45. Additionally, I wanted to touch base on the Xbox issues that have been present since S4 Reloaded & a recent leak that suggests MWIII will be on Gamepass soon! What are your thoughts on these updates?

Xbox X user here. The lag started about a month ago. Thought it was my internet. Then it started creeping into other games. Fortnite and rocket league for examples. I think when the servers went down a little over a month ago and then again two weeks ago something went wrong. Even CP and some PlayStation users on Reddit are claiming the packet loss and hitching is affecting them.
Yea I play on PS and I felt like I was getting a lot of high latency matches on MW3. The game feels better for me now though

Yeah its not just xbox, my pc friends have issues.
See I've been experiencing this lag and I thought I was crazy or that my internet was truly terrible. It's nice to know I'm not crazy and what me and my friends were experiencing was just an Xbox server issue.
I've been playing a lot of single player games as of late so I haven't experienced online connection issues much, besides when I play COD. Now I know why lol
On Xbox here aswell, I have yet to have these issues but I have been having Xbox Home Problems and occasionally other game issues. I was wondering if it’s still an Xbox related issue.
The stuttering issue seems server related, as many PC and PS5 users have reported it.
My ping will randomly spike to 5x normal, and massive packet burst multiple times per game, and neither of these issues exist on other games
Yup happened to me while playing both Multiplayer and Zombies on PC.

Ps5 user here, can confirm lag has been an issue for us too(no it’s not my connection). It’s exactly as you described ridiculous ping spikes, packet burst and packet loss. A buddy of mine plays pc and complains of the exact same issues.
Connection has been buggy from time to time since the launch of S4

On Xbox, I’ve had games where it plays well and there’s sudden stutters, games where it’s stuttery on and off, and perfectly fine games with no indication as to why it’s one way or the other

My Xbox friend gets 1 stutter-free match at the very start then it's downhill from there for the rest of the sesh
The last couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing this. The matches usually start off fine but as the tempo rises towards the end of the match it gets to the point where it’s unplayable.
This exactly, I've noticed it seems like it'll be pretty normal up until the last minute or two when the "game end" music starts, then the lag gets worse and worse
The servers have been straight dog water lately like enough to not want to play.
They still haven't fixed the stupid stuttering on "xbox" when the stupid game is coming onto gamepass

Somebody at SHG really had a vendetta against the COR-45.
I personally play on PC and its a simple macro to make the COR45 the best gun in the game. I have no shame in abusing it since it was a clear oversight by SHG. I am glad it is finally getting the attention it needs to correct it. Every semi auto gun needs to take into account people using a Cronus or macros on PC. People are going to do it regardless of what the community thinks. Its the Devs responsibility to make sure it doesn't go nuts with macros how the COR45 was.
@@Dezosion The COR-45 was great, but there's an argument to be made about the ISO 9mm in semi-auto taking the top spot with macros in play. About the same TTK up close and more forgiving, with one of the better bullet velocities and relatively low recoil for a high fire rate SMG to make medium range engagements easy to handle.
For larger maps the MTZ-762 in semi-auto takes the cake for me, personally, with its 220ms TTK at any range, and the fire rate cap is low enough that many people, if not most, can take advantage of it without needing "non-standard inputs." It's very underrated, and easily the best battle rifle in my book.
@@Dezosion lmao braindead comment. i was able to reach the max fire rate consistently without a macro. get gud. just cause some people abuse macros doesnt mean it should be gutted, because its not too hard to max it without a macro
I've had lag issues with PS5 as well.
This is actually the second nerf to the cor45's RoF. Heavy match trigger was 600 and lightning was 750. I could easily hit the cap at 600 but it was still enough to consistently take advantage of that rate of fire. After the nerf to 545, I started using the lightning trigger instead. I use it in dual. Even though it didn't help with hipfire, it felt less restrictive.
As for it being abused, I've seen it used with macros once or twice by enemy players in ImMarksman videos.
I’ve definitely had lots of stuttering and lag etc on Xbox but my friend has even worse, even though he’s in a party at the start he often doesn’t get let into the game until it’s nearly over or less than 5 mins left . He’s really fed up with MW3 right now.
Also I’m seeing more pc hackers than ever before. They really need to get their act together with this game.
Xbox issue is still going on, my teammate showed me a clip from last night and it's legitimately unplayable.

I'm on Xbox Series X, hardwired, with a download speed of 750 Mbps, upload speed of 50 Mbps and all the lag/stuttering issues started for me a month and a half ago.
Some nights it's just a little choppy, but manageable. Other nights it's completely unplayable. I've had brief moments where my ping suddenly goes from 15-20 (normal for me) all the way up to as high as 8000ms. Which is obviously completely unplayable. It's totally random from one game to the next, and there's times where my latency widget shows no real change and yet I'm stuttering all over the map.
My best friend is on a One X, also hardwired and he's been having similar issues since the S4R update. But like I mentioned, I've had it happening a lot longer. Ironically, for me it's been happening a LOT less since the update, but still happening.

For me, I have an Xbox series x, sometimes it's stutters for about half the round. This happens in every game mode I play.
Xbox player here, recently upgraded from my old One console (2014) to a new series S. Noticed the “lag” as I’ve been able to describe it here recently. I don’t play a ton, but about once every 3-4 games there’d be a massive lag spike, no packet loss or anything showing on the analytics in game. It’s not unplayable for me when it’s happened, just requires a minute or less of patience to let it “buff out”. Those playing every day though might experience far worse issues I’d expect.
How have they still not banned cronuses and other controller mods? The console Valorant beta blocked third party mods day one.
The only reason valorant has no MnK players on it is because noone can play it lmao. You need a code.
I believe they have on PS5 at least but people always find workarounds
@@deathtrooper2048 they've given the codes out like candy. There was a clip floating around on the first day of a guy having his games terminated repeatedly because it was detecting him using a ximmer.
Not true people can use xim and cronus on valorant console even the ps5 1st party devices are spoofed now
I thought was just me, since the last reloaded update, the game has become laggy after a couple minutes of being play.
They still haven’t fixed the FJX Horus underbarrel bug when you use the FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip because it loads in the firing range but not in game. I even have the video and tagged Sledgehammer but no responses

Still no word on the 149 health display bug or Thermobaric grenades no longer leave fire behind. They are not even listed as problems on Trello or Activision’s website. I have a sneaking suspicion these will never get fixed.
Hell since the season 3.5 update my game chat been bugged and can't hear anyone or be heard. Tried turning setting off and on. Deleted the game and reinstalled. Submitted to their bug submission page and still no change
if you are on xbox start a party and then switch to game chat on the party settings thats how i fixed mine

In my experience with this bug my game starts out normal then about half way thru my vertical sensitivity gains a mind of its own and changes itself over and over, not long after that my audio starts cutting out and then the game lags and cuts out. Sometimes the Xbox crashes

You got that right Ace, the COR-45 w/ the lightning fire trigger attachment almost feels like the P890, probably even worse 😑. Still gotta check stats to be 100% about that.
The lag issue isn’t Xbox related, it’s server related. It all started with the new season, not the midseason. It was worst right at the start but it’s still happening every time I play on PS5 and it’s the only game it happens on. It also affects the entire lobby, not just one person. As everyone in the lobby will be talking about it on voice chat right after the lag stops.
I have been having a lot of stuttering issues over the past couple of weeks on PC. Feels like every five steps I take, I take one back.
I was playing Get Higher and I would consistently, but randomly, be thrown off obstacles or would skip forward or backwards and miss platforms. Borderline unplayable.
I get the Xbox lag, as well, sometimes the game is outright unplayable. But my main problem with MW3 MP is aim assist randomly turning off mid-game, I don't know wtf it is, but it happens consistently. Good connection, bad, stationary, while strafing, up close, mid-range, it's happened in all sorts of circumstances. I haven't been able to pin it down as happening only on specific enemy players, but it happened consistently against certain individuals in some games (Roughly 1 in 3, sometimes it's several consecutive games) often enough that I was able to notice a pattern. This is with basically default controls, and it's blatant enough to paint a WTF look on my face.

Nerfed the mutated juggernaut? What was their thought process with that it's so slow you can back up and destroy it. Only in games on Gross Haus was it a problem.
Gotta love sledgehammer when they try to fix a bug it takes them 3 months(barrel attachments for that conversion shotgun) and create 5 new bugs
Breaking the game on Xbox One is totally a "bug" yep, definitely not intentional to force next-gen upgrades
They could be like Infinity Ward and tell players that there is no bug and never fix it until Activision finally forces them to lol.

not just Xbox. It was worst last week, but I know a texas PC I built experienced it yesterday
My friend on an Xbox One has completely stopped playing because of the connectivity!! we used to play every night together and just don’t anymore because it’s unplayable. Really bummed.
Xbox player here, the lag is as you described and makes unplayable most times. The issues affects audio as well and when at worst will black screen. There are few times when game is playable and based on my experience affects multi and wz.

So it's not my internet. I genuinely thought it was my ISP screwing me over at first, tho I had a hunch it was the game itself. Now I know I was right. It's been choppy/laggy for about a month now. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
I'm on Xbox One X (yeah I know, I haven't upgraded still) and it's honestly really relieving to know this is a known issue. Ever since the S4 reloaded update it's been unplayable for me. Stuttering, lagging like crazy. It's only been a week for me but it feels like a month. I only hop on to do the weekly challenges and then get off because it's unbearable.
Didn't this happen to the TYR heavy trigger at one point? In that case, it was like a three-second difference between the cocking of the hammer and the shot itself. This sounds very similar...
Feels like it did during season 2. Constant mini crashes throughout game. Usually when backpack is full and it comes to stowing or equiping. As well as any time loot is stacked on each other around lott box or buy station. Click on any of it and mini crash. Does not dev error. But starts the hitch that seems to stick the rest of the game.
I play on Xbox one X whenever i want to play with a friend who visits. The game was unplayable, i thought it was my console. Glad to know theyre working on this issue
On Xbox series x is fine MOST of the time, but when it does stutter it’s BAD. Honestly seems like a server issue because I’ve heard people on all platforms having it and only on CoD
MY COD experience this past weekend was fairly standard, have one or two games where the connection was terrible, dropped out, joined a different lobby and things seemed back to normal.
The connection issues have been ongoing for over a month. I've seen them in PS5, Xbox Series X and PC (I play on all). They used to be kinda random (some servers yes some no) but as of recently it happens almost every time even when the Stats on screen say no packet loss and shows a good ping. I believe Activision is hiding the ongoing issues or trying to since quite a while but now is unbearable.
Impossible to play more than one full game before the insane stuttering stars and it is impossible to play... Very frustrating
Packet burst on pc is very consistent 2-5 seconds between bursts. Watched more vids on how to fix it and tried numerous things and it’s still there. For what it’s worth I’m using a 6900xt.
There is a similar problem with the MWII revolver. I was using it like 2 days ago and realized the trigger attachments are pretty much bugged.
I've been playing a lot of invasion lately and on about 30 seconds to a minute into each game the entire match will get a huge lag spike with tons of packet loss that lasts at least a solid 15 seconds if not longer. In 6v6 it will happen a couple of times per game and I will get teleported above and/or across the map then rubber band back to my original spot.
Stash House lags the worst for me. It gets really bad. Some games dont lag, but most do.
I am surprised you didnt notice the insane stealth buff to the Cor45. I kinda wanna keep it on the DL until it becomes widespread.
The lag on my Xbox One got progressively worse as the battle played out. The first half of the session seemed ok but the lag rapidly worsened towards the end. Unplayable to be sure. I thought it was hardware related as, at the time, I didn't see anything here on YT saying it was the game itself. I ended up buying a series X and after a few tweaks to the settings, no more issues. PS...I didn't mention to my wife, buying the X wasn't necessary. lol
DUDE! I didn't think anyone was covering this COR45 issue. I was playing pubs last night with my saved blueprint COR45 and nearly thought my attachments were jacked up... I was tripping out! I would argue that with this "hotfix" the gun shoots two times slower.... I really hope this is restored because I didn't see anyone using the COR45.... I even had people ask me for my build because it was that good yet others didn't use it.
I feel that the cor-45 is a really good skill weapon having a good trigger finger makes you the best close range option.
This game is still unplayable for me due to the lag on Xbox one, surprised ace hasn’t made a video about this or maybe I missed it.

Ace, unrelated question for you: I recently tried the FJX Horus in Tac stance, but after putting on the Bruen Bastion Grip, when I get in game, it reads as my gun only having 4 attachments. I get loaded in and the grip isn't equipped.
Do you happen to know if this is intentional for some reason? Or most likely a bug? It sucks cause it's still quite good w/o the grip so I really wanna use it with it lol
Game is unplayable for me since update but I do have the older gen system so I’m not sure if it’s a problem for all of them or not
I know you don’t cover warzone, but Rebirth is chalked on series s, my frames drop off off a cliff inside any building it’s really difficult to be competitive. So it’s unsurprising there’s issues on multiplayer on Xbox - a next gen console which now struggles to run the game properly
There’s also a barrel for the RAM-7 that’s description says it is for improved recoil and all that but basically all the stats you’d think it should have are reversed. It takes a hit to recoil and an improvement to mobility stats.
I got into a match, shot the gun, and said "what in the fuck". And then I repeated it when I was reminded that the servers are still horrible, or at least Playstation servers
Sledgehammer has had such a nasty record for having these issues to a point I expect them every update. Especially challenge tracking

Regarding the crashes on the Xbox, I believe it was only on the old generation, and it was right after the mid-season update. I'm an Xbox Series They are in the old generation because of the absurd prices of a console here in Brazil!
They actually changed it a while ago before this update (last time they addressed this bug) and it got nerfed down to 600~ish from 750
The crown breaker choke for shotguns was destroyed to, the bryson choke is now str8 up a superior choke
I'm on the one x but been having frame drop issues when playing mw3 but when I bring up the Xbox dash board mid game it look like it's running fine. Leaving then Xbox dashboard and the frames start dropping while making the audio very laggy.
This trigger + Akimbo with Mouse Macro was really OP.
I play on Xbox X and the lag is intermittent. I play both Rebirth and MP and it happens the same in both. Sometimes it's bad almost unplayable and other times it's a lag at the wrong time. I do notice though in kill cams the other player seems to jump or stutter across the screen, and it is always when the lag kicks in on my end. AAA GAME EVERYONE. 🤷♂️

Saw a couple of very laggy games on ps5 also so probably not just Xbox. It wasnt every game just one game i had yesterday seemed to effect the whole lobby
Hey Ace, did you see Goomie's video explaining how the SPAS-12 is glitched? There's a medium damage range where it cannot get a 1 shot kill, followed by a longer range where it can 1 shot. I don't think the devs have acknowledged it at all and they may not even be aware of it.
My Xbox issues with the performance degradation require me to sometimes restart my game after every multiplayer match. Other times I'm able to play for several matches before there's any issue.
I actually played with the Kor45 for the first time ages and used the fastest trigger just to have my gun be so sluggishly slow. Now I know why lol
As a Xbox user yes it’s bad. I can typically play half a game before it starts happening but then any game after that it just gets worse. I have to reset my network settings just to play another half game.
Anyone else experiencing dead sliding? I use a lot of movement when i play, especially with my shotgun builds (because i use the tactical pads).
I find myself stopping in my tracks after sliding or when i go to slide. Even when i use some killstreaks or weapons, they will slow down my movement to a crawl and I'll just be standing in the middle of an open lane when i was calling in a killstreak.
Its really frustrating as i like to rush and now i have to play conservatively because my buttons and even playstyle is being affected by a dead sliding or slow movement inputs
For me, the glitching breaks any long-term button pushes. there was a challenge in the last event to kill 2 operators with an lmg without letting go of the 'fire' button. 100% impossible because half a second holding the trigger and it'd glitch and i'd be sitting there with the trigger pushed and looking into a wall or seeing part of my death recap
Xbox series x here, and I've never had a single issue with lag or shuddering ever. Like ever.

The trigger input was from setting your fire button to scroll wheel on MnK and u just scroll on a good mouse itll spam it out
The Xbox issues are caused by S2/S3 blueprints with the golden tracers…. I don’t know how this hasn’t been fixed and they don’t even seem to know what the problem is. Every time someone gets a kill with those tracers the game stutters. I’ve know this for months!!!

did they also destroy the altered strain DNA tracking as well? I played 2 games of zombies to finished the Vortex event and none of the DNA counted!!!

I never realized you could fire a secondary handgun while still holding your primary AR like at 1:49 of the video. Is there a keybind for that or a setting?

They need to give us a free month for Game Pass or something because I couldn't play for literally 11 Days straight, I missed out in the events I was working on and lost Days on my Ultimate Game Pass...I need some type of compensation no bullshit, this is Unacceptable!
Bro I play on Xbox, and since modern warfare two, I have fing lagged and rubber banded and crashed the whole time while trying to play sometimes I’m not even able to play (edit) and sometimes I’m able to stop time for like an entire minute. You know
They need to make the DNA Bomb loopable just like they did for regular streaks! Having to forcefully let myself die, just to earn multiple DNA Bombs in one game, is rather annoying and detracts from the reward of going on longer streaks.

I'm glad you posted this. I thought they nerfed the fire rate of the entire gun and so I stopped using it lol.....Never thought to try some of the other triggers like a dope. I'm glad because the 45 is the only pistol worth a crap IMO. It's the only pistol that was good enough to actually use when you ran out of ammo instead of killing yourself with a grenade lol.....PC are also getting stuttering and frame drops too. Not only MW3 but MW2 which I do still play because the lobbies aren't as sweaty
I honestly thought the stuttering lag issue was just my internet! I was having mild internet issues which I thought were impacting CoD but the internet issues are fixed now and the stuttering lag remains! It's mostly just annoying but at least one or two matches a night will become completely unplayable now. What REALLY sucks is when it happens during Get High. That's the worst.
Same thing happeend on mw2022 once the new cod was around the corner it started lagging after updates
That pistol is the only weapon I use in this game so yeah, it bugs me that the trigger for it was destroyed

The Xbox lag makes it unplayable after about 30 minutes. It's amazing how many issues this game has with all the nerds they have working on it.

I crossplay with an Xbox player and he sent me video recording of the stutter and it's absolutely 100% unplayable. Microsoft is using COD to strongarm Xbox One players to buy next-gen.

I have an OG Xbox One that I've owned since 2013. The Serial number dates it within the first 700 made. Up until season 4 Reloaded, the game ran almost FLAWLESSLY. Some menu issues, but absolutely NONE in match. Then we get S4R. Immediately, that game started playing like A round 255 Shadows of evil run except my name is Cruppz and we're doing it on an Xbox 360, no Gobblegums, and every zombie is a Margwa. Lag. Fucking. Central. Someone honestly needs to file a class action lawsuit like they recently did with Facebook. Fuck these devs bro.
It said “update requires restart” and exited the game 3 times before I got a bad match
