hi steve today i watched this video 5/1/21. i'm catching up with all your old ones too which i'm enjoying given them the thumbs up ofcourse as well as the latest ones, i did heard of ghar hasan at school i think but never been there, but i remember some other place i think is tarxien and was called ghar dalam i think, bye.
I enjoyed watching the video of Ghar Hassan. I was born at Birzebbuga and use to visit this cave with my friends in the late 50's and early 1960's each time I visited Malta I go to visit Ghar Hassan Cave last time I was there July 2016. Thank you English man in Malta I viewed your videos before but this is the first time that I am Commenting. Cheers and Well Done.
hi Steve, that brought back many good memories of one of my trips back to Malta in the 90's . One of my very young relatives took me there on a day out exploring the Island, I remember him running up ahead of me without a care in the world while I hugged the cliff face hoping to make it back home safely. very nice views.
Thank you, take care if you go, its not a place for people that suffer from heights or dark places, and defiantly no kids, hope you have a great time in Malta not sure how long you are staying but august great time to catch a festa "A must see !! " on the 30th July there's 5, 6th August there's are also 5 one of which is Lija great fireworks, i have a old video of this village if you wanna check it out.and a massive one but lots, lots of people at Hamrun on the 13th have fun what ever you do !! drop me a line if you need any help, you can also contact me via Facebook,
Just watched the video really enjoyed it, great story too always good to hear some local folklore. Amazing views, I don't like heights but you can't help but love that amazing coastline. Keep the videos coming, really enjoying them all.
Englishman in Malta I'll have to hug the wall. Lol. The views will be worth it. Back in Mellieha in 4 weeks, really looking forward to being back in Malta.
I really enjoy your informative videos about the cool places off the beaten track. I'm a local who do my fair share of exploring but it's always lovely to see videos of places I enjoy going too. Keep it up sir! :)
Back in 1967 I was an 11 year old living in Birżebbuġa and remember crawling through Għar Ħasan. Even where the first grating in your video is (it wasn't closed off at the time), I would crawl through on my belly. If I remember, it lead to another "window".
Not sure about where that leads.Micheal, ..don't like get in tight spaces to much there's a Englishman made a video of all the cave and he went though there about a year ago it was blocked not sure if nature did it or was blocked
Behind that gate there is a bunch of passages, its quite deep , and also just outside of the gate there is another big passage, i been going there often and only last sunday i discovered this entrance, i used to think its a dead end like you thought. This weekend i go back and try see where it leads cause last sunday i went in a few hundred metres ,found 3 passages and stopped cause i was too tired to go further(low ceiling so its very tiring to crawl in there)
@@EnglishmaninMalta it can be dangerous , especially considering thers other caves underneath that cave system ( i know by the sound some passages make when i tap.on the ground). But i always go there with at least 2 other friends or family ,caving is fun. Thers a cave system in gozo called calypso cave next on my list , they say its huge
What spectacular views, very high up. Creepy cave. Something happened with the audio, I didn’t get to hear any of the story about... Hasan and Maria 😭😭 The audio didn’t come back on till you were near the entrance of the cave.😤😭 Cheers
Flying Phoenix if you are in Malta , there are night class courses run by government and loads of private classes , also books , cd's you can buy online, good luck !!
No that's not an end path that cave goes underground if you know the way, it is very dangerous because first you have to pass very low the grown to enter deep the underground.
