Hi Blaze. Wow! Just saw this now! I 100% agree with your response and I appreciate you taking the time to do it. Very helpful. I was raised up evangelical, and I raised my kids in that too to some extent, so I’ve gone on the journey of deconstructing that in my own life and walk, but I did it later in life, so, I feel the pain of looking back and seeing the path I raised my kids up in (although I was otherwise a good mother) was not the best or healthiest spiritual path. Seems I lost my chance to be a positive influence with my new understandings. Basically I found a more enlightened path and have regrets. Life is a challenge -trying to walk a wise and spiritual, magical path, wanting to be a positive influence, whilst also protecting my own peace. As I get older I realize the latter needs to be predominant actually. As an empath and abuse survivor that’s been hard to do. I have really learned a lot over the past few years about the power of using the energy of love and positivity in generating transcendence or transformation. Honouring the dharma. Like Amit Gaswami said: there’s a need for balance between doing and being. He calls it the doobie doobie doo. Btw, are u a Taurus? Seems like the wise, grounded traits u have. I’m curious what your spiritual leanings were that u mentioned in this video that u had as a youth vs what they are now. I haven’t watched all of your vids, but I think I started following ur channel a few yrs ago bc I have a very underdeveloped but existing interest in my Celtic and Druid roots. 😊♒️🙏🇨🇦🇮🇪
Thank you, I'm very sorry it took so long to make this response but I am glad it was useful. Libra, I was born in October. I do have a few videos on some of the Celtic legends and reconstructions which you might find interesting. I think that is the thing as we grow we get new insights and change our minds and adapt. Some people don't they stick with what they current believe. But to each there own I guess.
So, now that I know you’re open to video ideas/requests, here’s another one that is a nagging question I have about life and spirituality: I tend to follow the basic path of Hinduism (Sanatana dharma) in my life, or try to (unofficially), and one of the main tenets (and a principal I fully believe in) is that karma, or action, is merely a name for the way souls learn the lessons they need to learn in order to progress in the soul’s evolution. It’s the best way to learn something: to have to go through it one’s self, so we can see the “other” side of things (if seeing that was a prob for us). The question I have is, what use does magic have at all if higher consciousness/ source energy/ Brahma, or however u want to say it, is making sure each of us is learning exactly what we’re meant to learn and go thru what we’re meant to go thru? I know it’s a loaded question, lol, like akin to the debate about determinism vs. freewill in a way, but I’m afraid that would send the discussion down a rabbithole. 😂 anyway, just curious about your opinion about this. Please don’t feel pressured to respond in a certain timeframe! The question reminds me about how magicians often warn people that if one uses spells to get what one wants, it could end up being something one doesn’t end up liking at all, or getting a lover, etc. could end up being someone who they end up not liking. It’s like trying to push one’s will, from our limited vantage point onto the universe, I guess one could say. Obviously there’s a limit to how much we simply accept our “destinies” tho or we’d never get out of bed 😂 i often think of Rosa Parks when I contemplate this seemingly existential issue. I guess some day slavery and official discrimination would have eventually been reined in, maybe the next day by someone else, maybe not for generations, but she acted on her heart and forced attention onto the issue, which helped. I do agree with the notion of “do as thou wilt” and, I do think as I get older I’m more and more thinking Alan Watts’ perspective is the healthiest one! 😅. Since your previous answer (in this video) is obvi adjacent to this new question, I can also say that I see the point u made that magic, LOA, and prayer, etc. can come from a very positive perspective; trying to send powerfully generated positive energy and love into situations or people can be very helpful to soften the sharp edges in life.
