I love this take. I personally think when you're working with energy, its more about transforming things than conjuring them. So for example you might manifest your own success at something you're actively trying to do, or attract money too you that already exists, not fall into your lap out of thin air. You don't necessarily need to work 'hard' but you do need to be proactive and think of the magic as more of a boost. Even on a very simple, practical level, it can help with motivation so it makes total sense to me.
