Absolutely love all your videos....have looked at your videos and learnt from it on my Telecaster.....i wanted to ask what are you playing in between 1:54 and 2:12
Constructive feedback for you. I do think the drive is a bit much for the song, pretty sure it's mostly clean. On the bridge however, it works. I think it's worth making sure which parts can have more drive and which parts need to be more subtle. Perhaps a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver or Marshall Blues Breaker could help here. While the bridge lead line sounded good, idk whether the plan was to improvise, but you did miss a couple of vital notes. Being the 11th to 13th on the G string and the 8th on the D string. This is incredibly minor I also think the Delay needs to be toned down a little. It does work, but maybe not so much for this song. I think as well adding a touch of a Plate Reverb would work too. All in all, good cover man
Oi Andre! Muito obrigado! Eu acho que você vai ter que fazer algum tipo de adaptação para usar com o HX Stomp… mas não sei dizer ao certo pois nunca fiz essa conversão.
Richard X overdrive and delay would some all around Effects you would use a lot. I would consider getting a Multi Effects pedal such as Boss GT-1 so you can explore and learn more about the tones. Cheers
Hi! One question about the the Thinline Tele : is it a satin or a lacquered neck ? I tried the Squier version but I really don’t like the lacquered neck and wondered about the Fender version
Hi Jean, this Tele has lacquered neck too. I also prefer Satin because it feels faster in my opinion, but you end up getting used to it too. Some people also do some sand work on those types of neck, it's an option too. Your Manson guitar looks incredible, Plug In Baby sounds fantastic! Happy Holidays!
Fala, Guilherme! Cara, estou louco para tirar esse som na minha pedaleira G1XON da zoom, mas confesso que nem cheguei perto..rsrsrs. Poderia me ajudar?
Obrigado pelo comentário 😃 ele usa o Fender Deville, na configuração 2x12 se não me engano. Ele usa esse amplificador desde o início da carreira. Nos shows de hoje você ainda vê esse amplificador no palco e no backstage microfonado.
Hi, main delay is Transistor Tape Delay 1/4 and ambience is Transistor Tape Delay 1/8 with lots of feedback. There are new covers coming out soon, please subscribe for more. Happy Holidays!
Guilherme Breda Nice cover. Really enjoy listening how you made your own sound, similar to Jonny’s. I’d like you to take a look to my cover I made for this song and feel free to comment: ua-cam.com/video/wVJTxMJFrOU/v-deo.html Expect more covers of you in the future
Is that an American Vintage model? I have the Mexican 72' Thinline, do you know what the difference between the two is other than manufacturing location?
Hi! I have the Mexican 72 Thinline Reissue too. There doesn't seem to be too much difference between then. I've read in forums they have the same wood, tuners and even pickups. The main difference being the pots, electronic components (easily replaceable) and maybe the bridge. Other MIM to MIA fenders might have bigger differences, but this one seems to bem very close. That said I had upgraded the pickups and electronics, the 500k potentiometers made a big difference in this guitar.
Guilherme Breda What pickups did you replace to and what difference does changing to 500k pots make in terms of tone? I know Jonny Buckland has many variations of the American Vintage Thinline and his tone is very beautiful. My Mexican Thinline is too muddy/bassy, is that the same with yours?
Hi Ashton, I've installed the Brandon Wound Wide Range Humbuckers and 500k pots. It is the modded version of the vintage fender pickups, there are a lot of good alternatives out there. I fell the same about the stock thinline, they sound too muddy. The vintage ones doesn't sound like this at all. Using bigger potentiometers values will make the higher harmonics ring beautifully in this guitar, you can even go for a 1 Meg Potentiometer (same spec as the original 72), the capacitor can also play some role in the tone. Jonny uses just vintage ones from 72, 74 and 77. Hope this tips can help you. Cheers
You'll definitely hear some good improvements in the higher harmonics, you'll have a richer sound. I've used CTS 500K pots (both volume and tone) and PIO 0.47 µF capacitor. Best regards!
Before this even starts ur guitar is literally so beautiful man
