i have to reply again, I didnt know a Clocks piano cover could be so interesting, the techniques you use to go from playing the riff in octaves with one hand to be able to hit a bass note in the left hand and then switch to playing the riff with both hands immediately after while the bass note rings out UGHHH. so fascinating to watch
You are sooo right! What ability to play in this way, them fingers can sure make a piano sing like no other, God Bless You Katherine *The Force is strong with this one* ... I'm so glad I found this video today, one to save for sure♪♫♪
Agreed. Your pitch transitions so smoothly, and I love your style, which (at least on this piece) overlaps the chords, for a richer sound. Whatever it is, you did a fantastic job! I’m glad I stumbled upon this.
It's really beautiful, Indeed. I enjoy this rendition too, by this brazilian artist, who gives more energy to every song he plays...a sort of rock piano🙃 ua-cam.com/video/cxuwp8owIRQ/v-deo.htmlsi=KlSYm_qhXdplqzLP
As a learning pianist I am absolutely blown away by the fact that you played the riff constantly while playing "you areeee" with the base line at the same time . I mean these are the details that take time and effort .
Absolutely. I’ve been playing for 10 years myself and watching piano video’s for over 15 years and I can certainly say this one is at least in my top 5 of all time favorites. That stuff you mentioned blew me away also.
I was utterly entranced while watching this, your hands have to move across the length of the piano so often and yet the notes you hit are so subtle... honestly I think you’re the best pianist there is on UA-cam, hands down.
Don't get me wrong, she's unbelievably talented her playing is a serious joy to listen to. But 'best pianist, hands down' on youtube simply isn't true lol. Check out Leiki Udea or Kyle Landry or something for that
Try these, too: Cateen, Frank Tedesco, Hiromi, Rousseau, Radnich's "Pirates Forever", Peter Bence, Kyle Landry. Those are just a few, there are tons. For a start on Cateen, actually Hayato Sumino, search his name and Piano Sonata 0, an original. The dude is ridiculous, a world renowned concert pianist with a Masters in Engineering, and not a pompous bone in his body. He plays jazz, movies, games, and originals, too. And his improv skills are just plain nuts. He also does stupid stuff like attempt Flight of the Bumblebee on a TOY piano at 250 BPM, just for fun. One of the most amazing technicians on the keyboard I have ever witnessed. If you want to see him cut loose, look up his "Tom and Jerry". I saw him on a show where the judges were listening to high school pianists auditioning for a prestigious music college. The show threw him in as the last pianist. They were behind a curtain or they would have instantly known who he was. The looks on their faces were great. When they opened the curtain one was nodding, I expect she may have had an inkling of who it was. When he plays a piece, it is DIFFERENT. Then he played a piece with each student, and showed some of his improv chops there. Both he and the students were having a blast. The funniest part was he said that they were so nervous, they were making him nervous...and he plays before thousands, frequently. Tedesco takes requests on Omegle, that he listens to on the phone and makes absolutely amazing music out of, right there, real time, sometimes 10 loops deep, often just piano. Great sense of humor, too. Also on YT. Also has originals. His Etude, Waves is a great start.
its the first time ive come back to this video in a while. 8 months since my mental health got so low i thought it wasn't worth living any more. the day i thought about ending things, i was trying to learn clocks on piano and stumbled upon this video. your video. i remember watching it and crying to myself. and now that im better, looking back your video really helped me feel the slighest bit of happiness in a time of such dispare. i truly can never thank you enough.
My son is 13 and he was really eager to learn your specific version of this great song. We got your sheet music and he practiced a lot. He plays it now perfectly 😊. Such a pleasure listening to it. Well done and thank you!
this is insane. I thought i have already learned a difficult version, until i saw this. It almost sounds like you are playing 3 pianos with 6 hands at the same time, incredible
I got a friend and he study at music academy in composition class and piano is he's main instrument. When we spend free time I sometimes ask Tom play something and when he starts I've got the same feeling 😂😂😂 he's not a human 😂😂😂
I'm a few years late with my comments but just saw this as I start out on my piano journey after a 50 year hiatus. This is the most amazing thing I've seen. I could watch and listen to this a million times. Just incredible.
The lights go out and I can't be saved Tides that I tried to swim against Have brought me down upon my knees Oh, I beg, I beg and plead Singin' come out of things un said Shoot an apple off my head And a trouble that can't be named A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singin' You are You are Confusion that never stops Closing walls and ticking clocks Gonna come back and take you home I could not stop that you now know Singin' come out upon my seas Cursed missed opportunities Am I a part of the cure Or am I part of the disease? Wow this is easily the best piano cover of Clocks I have ever heard. Mixing the riff of "and nothing else compares" with the vocal melody sounds amazing! Have re-watched this part so many times.
Once again I'm completely blown away by your performance. By far, hands down... The - Best - Rendition/Piano Cover of this song in all the entire universe 🌏🌎🌍🌐🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇
As a learning pianist, I must say that I am astounded with how good you are. I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this, it's just so good. I hope to one day be able to play this piece just like you. ❤️
I am just awestruck at how expertly you maintained all the various overlapping themes. This arrangement, this performance, its incredible. So, so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent (And the sheet music!)

Precise fingering and pedelling, very clean sound, good audio recording quality and the rendition is true to the original. Very well done! I subscribed before the song was even over.

How you play the riff, and the "Youuuuuuuuu areee" at the same time, and then the bassline that follows, omg. so amazing
