Sound only version of of speech / broadcast made by King George V at the end of the celebrations of his Silver Jubilee. He gives thanks from the depths of his heart to his dear people on behalf of himself and Queen Mary. He talks about the problems of unemployment.
The Speech is followed by a recording of the National Anthem - God Save The King.
N.B. The Silver Jubilee was held in 1935. He sounds as if he has a cold. This speech is used over images of the drive to and from St Paul's Cathedral for the service to mark the Silver Jubilee and appears in canister No. 35/35
